Okay. Now that I have your attention, I'd like to have a civil discussion about a Kakuzu vs Hidan battle. I was hoping to attract a few Hidan fanboys because I already know how Kakuzu wins this, but i'd like to hear their opinions as well.

Distance: Mid
Area:

Knowledge:They basically know everything about eachother. Assume that they lived through the capture of Naruto but got into a fight to the death afterwards.
Restrictions: None

Also, please only comment if you're willing to have a civil discussion as to why you think Hidan would win. Don't comment if you agree with me, just so that the thread stays cleaner. And please no "HIDan winz CAUse hE's immoRTAL!!1!"

Provide a valid argument.

EEEH im not really a huge "hidan" person but as to how long his ritual lasts will depend on how the battle turns out becaause yes, he is immortal but only if he does the ritual. Kakazu probably will exploit his weakness somehow but as far as resillience goes it would have to be hidan

i doubt Hidan could even cut kakuzu because of iron skin.

Okay, here's my main argument. And this probably looks dumb to end the whole argument in the second/third post, but i'm ready. So.

Your argument is that Hidan is immortal when he's doing the ritual? And also probably that he could kill Kakuzu with the ritual?
Well.... Wrong.
Here's how I see it going.
>>Hidan starts off and knows immediately that he has to end this quickly, so he begins trying to use his scythe to get Kakuzu's blood. Kakuzu then uses earth release:earth spear. His skin becomes hard as diamond and is unable to be cut by Hidan's scythe. And that's where the battle goes downhill for Hidan.... very.. very quickly.

i never said he would win by cursing him i just said how long does the immortality ritual last for cause weather kakazu has daimond hard skin means nothing if hidan is immortal, hidan cant be that dumb to try and take his blood but it would be a simple matter of who and when either kakazu or hidan run outa charkra

Okay. Hidan is immortal, but his body doesn't regenerate. He would be incinerated.

Even if Hidan somehow draws blood from Kakuzu, even if he is able to make a circle, he wouldn't be able to destroy ALL Kakuzu's hearts before Kakuzu forced him out of it (Fuuton) or destroyed the circle.

Also, to my knowledge it hasn't even been proven that Kakuzu has blood. He might be entirely composed of skin, hearts, and threads. But if he needs hearts then he probably does bleed.

Then your knowledge is flawed since Kakashi took blood from him in order to have Shikamaru trick Hidan into doing the ritual on Kakuzu.

From a direct hit to a heart, and even then only maybe. But Hidan DID manage to eliminate a heart with his technique...

Sasori definitely has no need for blood, and without an obvious respiratory or circulatory system I don't see how Kakuzu does either.

He took a part of Kakuzu's body. It might very well be that he can use any element of his target, similar to Edo Tensei. Blood could simply be the easiest option.

That's true. I guess we won't know that for a while.

Hidan is immortal without the ritual.

Kakuzu does have blood, that's why Kakashi used a needle to suck up blood in the capsule.

Kakuzu wins

Hidan has already successfully tanked a fire attack so that isn't killing/decapitating him. Hidan can tank most of Kakuzu's attacks but in the end, he will get blown to pieces or Kakuzu can use his black grudge threads to decapitate him.

As been mentioned, since Kakuzu can make his skin turn to iron, there is no way that Hidan can get blood out of him. For this reason, Kakuzu wins low difficulty.

kakuzu is a lot stronger than hidan (i think it's obvious). each akatsuki couple had an obviously stronger shinobi :

- itachi, kisame.

- sasori, deidara.

- kakuzu, hidan.

- NAGATO, konan.(obviously by far)

Yeah, but Kakuzu's fire attacks are on a whole different level. Especially when he combines two masks.

I always thought Kakuzu>Hidan was common sense.
