Okay. Illusions as you know basically make your victim(s) see something that isn't actually there. For example, you could make your opponent see millions of wild animals running ferociously towards them. Genjutsu basically is making your opponent see something that isn't there by manipulating one or more of their 5 senses. In Narutoverse, there are a variety of ways to cast an illusion upon someone. You can do hand-seals, or you can -like most uchiha's- when make eye contact with them and cast the genjutsu of your desires. Or like itachi has displayed, through your finger. All of these are very useful methods in gaining the upper hand in a battle. In Narutoverse, the way Genjutsu works is that the person casting the genjutsu manipulates on of their victims' senses. If they want to cast an illusion which takes affect on their opponents vision, then the caster aims their chakra, and disrupt their vision by messing up their primary/secondary visual cortex where what the victim is see is interpreted and made sense by the brain. Other Senses are disrupted by targeting the area in their body responsible for that individual sense.

Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

All in all, this technique allows you to forcefully halt your chakra flow, and in turn resets it.
However, if you're in a genjutsu that restricts your movements then this will not work since it requires a handseal.

By disturbing my clones chakra flow, put him under the illusion of not being able to see a difference in the terrain - most used by having them under the illusion so that they see no changes and you can attack with a earth technique that they won't be able to see coming.

I channel my chakra through my skin tissues and towards your clone. I concentrate my chakra into the back side of his brain, targeting both visual cortex. Using my chakra, I disrupt the way his brain interprets his surroundings and this causes him to be put under a genjutsu where nothing actually happens, not terrain change.

It affects sight.

Next,
Preform the 5 handseals, and disturb the chakra flow of the target - to make them see you (the user) dissolve in a flow of flower petal in which then surround the target, effectively blocking their vision. You then use this advantage to strike while being un-notioceable.

I perform five hand-seals and then focus on my chakra. Whilst i do this, i close my eyes and create images in my mind of me dissolving in a flow of dozens of petals. I then use my chakra to carry these images to your clone. My chakra disrupts his visual cortex and inserts the images i've created into his mind. The mind processes these images and as a result of, your clone sees me dissolving in dozens of petals and these petals come a surround them, confusing him.

Preform one handseal and throw a kunai with a explosive tag on it. The target who by now should be wrapped into the illusion will see a clone advancing on him - this is the explosive tag kunai. When the illusion of the clone gets close - it explodes.

I perform 1 hand-seal like you instructed me, and reach out for an explosive kunai and throw it towards your clone. When i see the kunai is about a meter away from him, i detonate it through mental activation.

Oh, lol sorry.

I perform one hand-seal and throw an explosive kunai. I trap the target in a Genjutsu where the kunai transforms into a clone who seems to be running towards him. In reality, when the kunai is about a meter away from him, i detonate it through mental activation, causing him damage. However, in the Genjutsu he's trapped in, it looks like as if the clone exploded.

Create the illusion in which the target sees multiple clones of you come from under the ground, out of tress, from the air. these ar simply illusions and cannot be attacked.

Like i did before, I close my eyes and create images in my mind of clones whom are identical to me start rising from the ground, trees and branches. I then use my chakra to carry these images to your clone. My chakra disrupts his visual cortex and inserts the images i've created into his mind. The mind processes these images and as a result of, your clone sees this and thinks it's real.

In a battle, once i put my opponent under this genjutsu, and (s)he believes it, and starts attack them, wouldn't he realize it's a genjutsu because his attacks are going through my clones? And by the time he realizes this, wouldn't it be too late?
