[Discussion] Was the Sage of Six Paths the only one with a rinnegan?

I find it interesting that since the Sage was born he had to have parents, and then it follows that he had a genetic line which may or may not have passed down the rinnegan to him, or even his strong body.

The thing with mutation though is that everyone thought Nagato was a mutation, but it was actually the rinnegan of madara when he attained Senju DNA, so why would it apply to him also?

Truth is we do not know when the SO6P got the Rinnegan, was it before or after he sealed the Juubi within him? Knowing this will either give us the answers we are looking for OR generate more questions...a lot more questions.

If it was before then this raises serious questions as to how it occurred and mutated into the Rinnegan. Plus the other question would be, how does the Juubi's eye fit into all that?

If it was after then it makes perfect sense considering both the Byakugan and Sharingan are mutations of the Rinnegan based on what was told to us by Obito about the Elder son.

wrong duh, there are pictures of him before he was the juubi host with rinnegan, plus it is even stated you need rinnegan to control the juubi not you need to be the host of the to get rinnegan.

Then that would mean that the Uchiha clan had existed before the SO6P, and that would also imply that the Elder son's eye infected their previous Doujutsu and evolved or devolved it into the Sharingan, if he was a product of Senju and Uchiha, then that also means his eyes would be half diluted, so it could possibly mean a stronger form of the Rinnegan, or a whole new eye completely.
