Last chapter put a crack in Obito's fans theory that he was brainwashed and that's why he's doing all this for Rin. Brainwashed people don't revolt against their master. So yeah, unfortunately, Obito is an emo boy longing after the dead girl that didn't love him and he's doing it out of his own free will. He wants to live happily ever after in his dream world.. Smh.. I think that what he needs is a psychanalyst. Tbh I liked him better when I didn't know his foolish reasoning but that's just me.

I used to read some posts trying to explain his childish behavior. That Madara somehow brainwashed him into accepting their master plan.. The fact that he's not brainwashed his a big + for him as a villain but knowing what that villain plan to do and more importantly WHY totally ruins his credibility for me. Rin is dead, deal with it like a man.

... I don't see many people claiming he was brainwashed. The only theory people have discussed the past few days, which still is possible even after the latest chapter, is that Madara influenced Obito in a bad way through those dark rods and basically strengthened his 'darkness'. Both Nagato and Obito lost someone close to them and went batshit crazy right after those dark rods made contact with their bodies (Obito's right side; Nagato's back).

How is he mislead ? He's doing all this because he wants to. That's what he told Madara. He's not being forced into doing it nor is deluding himself. He wants it, he's with Madara for the ride but Obito wants the reach the destination. Maybe Madara is lying about the Infinite Tsukuyomi but that's not the point, the point is that HE WANTS to put it in motion

Manipulated people are oblivious of the manipulation. Obito is not. He himself said that he's never been Madara's friend. He even puts himself in a position of power towards Madara. Maybe Madara is using him for ulterior motives but what I meant is that Madara didn't in any way force him to accept Infinite Tsukuyomi. He's in it because the plan is convenient for him.

But yeah, I liked his Tobi persona a lot more than what he has become now. Tobi had a certain sense of mystery and danger about him that made him a much better character. You know, he was that one shady guy who liked the f*ck around for the hell of it. Now... :|
