hey you can say the same thing for neji he hasnt really done anything big until now as his big part is to die which will influence narutos next actions so anything is possible at this moment so yeah they can still be some stuff for sakura to do as we still have tsunades death which can give sakura some potential development im not say she will but as long as she is alive in the naruto world it still is possible

From a plot and character standpoint, Sakura lacks the self-sacrificing character trait. She locks up when that kind of split-second decision making is necessary.

Place Sakura in that of Hinata or Neji. Neji is dying if she's in the place of Hinata (since Neji would sacrifice himself to protect Naruto - I think this is fairly well supported by now). Hinata is dying if she's in the place of Neji. Because she is not very well conditioned to making those split-second decisions when it comes to assessing the value of one life against another.

Sakura will not likely die in a self-sacrificing manner. It's just not in her blood.
