For those who thought Konoha11 were safety, it's not the case right now after seeing Neji's death. The way everyone wants to sacrifice himself to save Naruto who is important to win this war, i'm highly sure the plan Shikaku had to stop Juubi include Ino-Shika-Cho. It's probable that they will accomplish their mission, but they will pay with their life. Lee lost his own rival and know the importance of this war. It's also probable that he will open the final gate along with Gai and try to contain the Juubi or something meanwhile. For Kakashi i don't think he will die right now because of his plot importance(tnj Obito, sorry for Obito fans but it will happen sooner or later. He needs to know the real reason behind Rin's death). Maybe it's during his death that will change Obito's mind though

As long as <3Kakashi<3 stays alive.
Though he'll probably die too.
But at least Kishi is brave enough to kill the good guys

Honestly though, are we supposed to care? The Konoha 11 haven't done anything remarkable since the first season. They've had no screen time and now with the messed up power levels they simply serve as something you feel nostalgic towards.

The exceptions, of course, being Shikamaru who has actually had some kind of character development. I'd include Sai but he's not technically a part of the Konoha 11, or 10 now I guess.

True that Kishi totally forgot about them in fights in part2, but they were still part of the main secondary characters in this manga, who appeared there and there. It's not only in battles that we remember characters

No no, of course not, I'd never imply something so foolish. But the fact remains that they've had very little relevance in Shippuden. They were actually IMPORTANT before, but that was a long, long time ago. Sure, some of them have much more interesting personalities than some main characters, like Sasuke and Madara, but I can't get over the feeling that they just aren't NEEDED anymore.

I don't know, I guess I simply don't care anymore. I used to be a bit more passionate about this story but the decline in quality since the Pain Invasion arc made me lose interest slowly, and now, with this awful, awful 'story' arc we are at now, which completely butchered the story, I've come to realize I just want to see how the story ends. That is unless we start seeing some real changes around here, and soon.

Please... Kishi screwed up BIG TIME with his so-called 'main supporting characters' THROUGHOUT the entirety of the manga! -.-

I understand what you mean. In part2, guys like Suigetsu or Sai got even more spot light than majority of konoha11, so i think it was a real fail coming from Kishi's part. I'm disappointed also because of that. When they had plenty of occasions to shine(against Sasori and Deidara, against Pain, etc), but never tried to use them.

Aye, you're right. And instead of focusing on only the Uchiha, he could've taken at least 50% of their screen time (the screen time of a dead clan) and given it to other clans we know next to nothing about, but are still considered to be important, like the Akimichi or the Yamanaka.

This arc is just so boring I can't stand it. It's just not exciting when I care nothing about what happens to anyone. I want to know what happens next of course, and I want to know why Rin had to die and things like that, but caring about minor characters who have been largely ignored in favor of imba jutsu and ridiculous power levels, which in itself is so boring it makes me want to kick a puppy? No, I can't do that.

Neji's death is important to plot. Naruto's emotion might power-up his strength or Kishi might be pulling NaruHina eventually. I don't think that Shikamaru & Ino's death will play as an important factor as they parents just died. Though you may be right that more killings will come I just hope that we had enough from Konoha ninja's.

Haha so true, i was really pissed to see Uchihas, Uchihas everywhere. At least Kishi should have said from the start that the real name of this manga is Uchiha :D Especially when we see how irrelevant konoha11 became because of that. Tbh Naruto was really fine until after Pain's arc(i didn't like Nagato reviving ninjas though) and for the first time since then, i actually care about what will happen next now that we see finally some valuable deaths

Haha thanks :D

@badoera you got a point there. Kankuro may die at least

Thane i never knew you grew less passionate about Naruto! Anyways i kind of have my sentiments the same as yours. K11 did have a few moments here and there, but it wasn't enough to actually say they were a big part in the story. I have a feeling that Naruto and Sasuke might be the sole survivors of the war

I think Nagato redeeming himself was handled properly. And yes, I would have liked a warning before watching Naruto. I can't stand the Uchiha wanking, and the people who actually like that clan and go out of their way to show it are even worse.

I just wish we could've had more focus on interesting details, such as other clans, more history, more international politics, more dealing about 'what is a ninja and what is its purpose' and stuff like that, you know, things that were at least briefly mentioned in the first part. The entire ninja world literally changed overnight, going from proud soldiers of the shadows to peace-loving fodder.

And what is a fodder anyway? How can there be fodders when they all train for their entire lives? How come some people are just that much stronger than others, even without Kekkei Genkai and fancy stuff like that? Why did the story change focus from this intriguing, dark world to a joke where the protagonists chases after his friend who is an absolutely revolting human being?

Oh, and important deaths? Neji? Why?

Haha so you hate how the manga became that much? :D I think Neji is important death because he is still a main secondary character no matter how we see it. Even Shikaku's, Inoichi's death was also smh important, and it's probable that some others will come

Hopefully Kakashi gets killed
I think it will happen, but during/after tnj Obito. I actually also hope it to happen because i never liked Kakashi revived by Nagato since back then. All what i hope is that he dies by doing something useful
