Its is highly implied that there will be another arc after the War arc and here is an idea about how it will go.

As Nagato says War brings pain to both sides so even when the Alliance wins they have lost well over half their army. The main characters are all going to be in a lot of pain and are going to be going through a lot of grief.

My gut feeling is that the next arc is about the main characters recovering from the war. Naruto will be dealing with his grief as well as the others.

When the 10 tails fired at the HQ he took out a lot of high ranking Shinobi so the power structure of each villiage will be heavily changed.

My prediction is that the next arc is sort of about Naruto saving himself. It would be the perfect arc for the Naruto vs Sasuke fight because Naruto has lost friends (Neji and maybe others) and now he is looking at one of the biggest losses in his life. The friend that he couldn't save.

I'm pretty sure the war will be the final arc. Maybe a few aftermath or timeskip chapters but that should be all.

I think Naruto vs Sasuke will either be the ending battle for the war arc, or the first battle for the next arc.

Agreed. I think either Kakashi will be hokage of Naruto will be elected and turn it down because of Sasuke actions and Behind dieing in the war. I do see more hope for Naruhina as well. Lol

Actually we have about another 2 years of manga to go.

there i am relatively confident that there will be a next arc.. it just wouldnt seem right and it would seem rushed to have sasuke come out of knowhere and challenge naruto so i hope instead it will be the main focus of the next arc aswell as orochimaru

He can do both. He can cover Sasuke and Orochimaru while covering Naruto and his friends.

Orochimaru himself said he has no intention of joining this war meaning there just might be another arc after the war.

Implied may not be the right word. Kishi said that we still have over a year and a half to go. Possibly 2 years. He also said that this is the climax of the War arc. Plus there is still a great deal to cover. It just makes since that their is going to be another arc to fill out all the plot lines that are still around.

Plus a lot of people kept saying the Invasion of Pain would be the last arc when it happened, so I wouldn't say its over until its over.

What? Who actually believed the Pain arc to be the final one? It was completely obvious that the series wouldn't end there if only because the main villain (Obito) didn't play a role in that arc and the plan with the bijuus wasn't complete either. If anything, people were arguing if Pain would be defeated in that arc or not.

The war is far from over. Apparently, the Juubi has even more stages to its evolution. Then we will see somebody (Obito or Madara) become it's jinchuuriki. That person will start the tsuki no me, but most likely beaten in the last second. So, there is quite some content to be had. Sasuke/Oro could very well appear at each of those stages.

There were people who believed it was the final arc. I never said everyone did but I read the posts. It was a while back.

The manga recently got renewed for another 2 years here in Japan. Trust me, I live here. Yes, there will be arcs after the war. Probably dealing with Sasuke vs. Naruto, Orochimaru, Naruto as the Hokage and reconstruction.

Agreed, it will heavily involve whatever Sasuke finds out from 'the one who knows everything' and the Juubi, whatever happens with it.

Also Naruto has just experienced something no one but a few (his parents and Hinata) have done for him, give up their lives for him. So this will weigh heavily in Naruto's mind and maybe we'll see a change in Naruto.

For Kishi to fit in everything including any other potential deaths, what effect they might have, Sasuke, taka and Oro well it would be too much in one arc.

If you view the war as an arc in it's entirety, it's already longer than every other arc by far. But it's fitting since it's the climax of the plot. It's only natural to have all kinds of things getting resolved there.

Yeah actually this is true, still feel there will be another arc after the war at least.
