Hashirama rumor?

Shouldn't this pretty much settle the debate? I mean Madara himself says only Hashirama was the only one who could beat him and Madara just curb-stomped the 5 Kages. Also didn't Kabuto say something along the lines that by not making the edo revives mindless they kept their personalities and strategies, while making them mindless limits them to what the edo tensei usknows?

So do you think kisame can beat hashirama cause kisame did say guy was the only one who could beat him.

Seeing as how Madara, who beat all 5 kages. Saying how only Hashirama can go toe to toe and/or defeat him... It doesn't leave a lot of room saying how he isn't stonger than Hiruzen.

Then can't I make the argument that Madara could only attack and challenge Hashirama because he was controlling Kurama at the time? Also if he was talking about EMS Madara and not Edo Madara shouldn't he say that no one could beat him then? Heck if I knew I was more powerful than my greatest rival by a landslide I would be telling that to my enemies to demoralize them even more.

My point is madara stated is irrelevant cuz we have seen other shinobi make similar and most important that statement has nothing to do with the other kages.

I didn't think A>B, B>C, A<C worked in Naruto, yet everyone in here is rolling all over the fact that just because Hashi stood up to Madara means he's the best kage. I do believe the 3rd beat Hashi, and yet I'm also fairly confident in my believe the Madara would be the 3rd.

Just because the current strongest villain states, "Only *Blank* stands a chance against me" doesn't mean that person is the strong. It's more likely that individual had a particular skill set that trumped the villains.

Of course I'll likely be disregarded lol. So it's all good.

Alot of Madara's statements are taken out of context merely because his arrogance towards the kages, Madara stated that the kages are nothing compared to hashirama befor he ever even saw what they're truly capable of, hence why they almost sealed him and forced him to use Perfect susanoo, He even stated that they do indeed deserve the title of Kage, While they also even forced him to use clones in place of his real edo body.
Again when madara said tsunades healing techs are nothing compared to hashirama, Proving that some his statements are completely baseless since tsunade later of match that feat of hashi's healing tech.

Madara's statements need to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Nope. Hiruzen can't subdue deep nine tails and battle madara at the same time. And he only beat 1st through plot, seeing some of his power in 9 tails battle with madara he could easily kill almost any ninja.

Ones hype does not diminish or discredit the hype of another. Hashi clearly had beast moves but his edo version, that was not limited by chakra or death, failed to beat Hiruzen.
The scaling of power between part 1 and 2 is a necessary part of continuing the story but it just means that if the 3rd Hokage was in part 2, he would have his power scaled up the same amount as everyone else.
He was clearly recognised as the strongest Hokage to have lived. So unless you're implying Hashi was a zombie during his time as Hokage, Hiruzen was stronger.

Wood release was not to scale, more like on Yamato level. Hiruzens Justus cannot get much more powerful than they are, maybe 2 fold while hashi can do 10-20 fold
