Okay this is just a purely fan made thread. I don't mean to start any flame wars or anything, I just thought of the idea and think it's plausible 
Okay as well all know, Hidan is immortal and he has the ability to link a person through their blood: "Using his weapon, Hidan makes every attempt to acquire an opponent's blood, where upon consuming it he draws the Jashin symbol on the ground. This process somehow "links" his body with his opponent's."

Now, as we look further, it can be seen that Edo Tenseis do, in fact, have blood:
As seen here, when itachi was stabbed by kabuto, he had blood coming out from the wound. Therefore, Edos, when they are stabbed, release the paper stuff as well as blood.
Now, where am I going with this? Well, if we could have acquired some blood from madara, we could easily dispose of him. Kakashi was able to acquire blood by stabbing Kakuzu:
Now, just as Kakashi did, so can Tsunade! :
At that point, even though it was a clone, since clones share identical DNA, Tsunade could have stolen his blood that was somewhere in the paper. By storing this blood, we could have gotten ino and shikamaru to dig up hidan, get him to start the ritual (someone can restitch him together lol) and have her mind transfer and kill madara! Although he wouldn't die, since he is an edo, getting his head chopped off for a second would give them plenty of time to attack him and seal him.
Although the juubi would pose a problem, maybe the same could happen with the juubi, if he has blood and if the ritual could even work on him!
I know this is very far fetched, but I just thought I'd share it lol <3
EDIT: even if there isn't blood, could hair or anything else work? since they contain DNA? :O
