Is minato really the fastest?

I would say not! FTG is the using of seals and sending the user to only the seals in which are planted on material things.
But in terms of reaction, timing, and base speed. We have seen much better feats of speed from other shinobi. Yes he dodged the raikage's punch. so has bee, sasuke, and naruto.

If you think raikage did not try to knock sasukes head off at full speed (considering he thought they killed his brother) your crazy. Back to minato, FTG is a close range jutsu that can not be used for aerial combat or long range. which is why the few times we see it. It's used only in hand to hand combat.

Thus far the true all around speed demons i have seen are itachi's hands signs while in a shuriken shootout at very close range with sasuke. sasuke using his sharingan, summoning manda (justu) and giving it the command to jump in his mouth, while escaping in mere seconds! from a justu that should of killed him. kakakshi has some of the best reaction skills in the shinobi world. he managed to warp a nail that was shot like a bullet at his head!

What has minato done with this over hyped technique thus far to say he has the best all around speed in the manga? i am not a hater i don't have any favs. this was a debate at work, so i am bringing it here to my base family. lol let's begin my fellow narutards

Lee and Gai were on my radar also, i was thinking more of all around feats of speed not just in combat. i believe no one can match gai and lee in a straight up fight with no jutsu though. even though gai can use justu as we saw with his turtle summon.

First off ftg is a space time justu it does not use speed.Speed is irrelevant.He appears instantaneously no speed can match that.

i think minato base speed is still better than guy and lee's base speed

guy and lee get most of their speed from the gates

please read my post over again i am talking all around feats of speed, other shinobi have done way more thus far. perhaps we will see minato in more battles in up coming chapters but until then FTG is flawed IMO and we have seen greater feats of speed in tight situations.

raikage's lariat has power based on his speed lol 1, 2 sasuke dodged and tried use chidori 2 and space and time techs are feats of speed or bending of the rules around speed 3rd and finished

I don't believe that it was ever stated in the manga that Minato had fastest movement speed. But the combination of his really fast movement speed, incredible reflexes and FTG, is what hailed him as being the fastest. Without his Kunai, however, he is not the fastest.

There is nothing to dispute or debate about minato is the fastest because he makes speed irrelevant.He was right in not disputing the topic but he worded it wrong its more on the line of you can't dispute it rather then don't dispute it.What other feats of speed surpass instant movement ? i understand minato had great reflexes i am simply saying other shinobi have done some equally impressive things. also FTG is flawed and can only hit targets who are dumb enough to fight the yellow flash in hand to combat. his base speed is unknown which is why i said until we see more, i will highlight other great feats of all around speed which go unnoticed.

Raikage was not at full speed at the time and once he was sasuke could not keep up with him.
The lariat is a combination of speed and power.Bee and A rushed at each other and bee overpowered him.Bee did not dodge anything.
The only people who dodged A were Minato and Naruto.Space time is not bending the rules of speed.Do not talk about something you clearly know nothing about.Space time combines space and time like the name suggest into a single continuum.time elapses between two points.It has nothing to do with speed.Speed is restrained to light.Nothing goes faster then the speed of light.When the curvature of space is bent the light can travel instantly to the next destination.Minato uses this worm hole to get to where he needs to go.

Do you know the meaning of flawed ? It means Blemished, damaged, or imperfect in some way.You said "It only hit targets who are dumb enough to fight the yellow flash in hand to combat." That is not a flaw.It transported a tbb away from the village he used ftgv2 to land a direct hit on tobi who also had a space time ninjustu.The ftg is very versatile.And can be put to use in almost any situation which is the opposite of flawed.

Your going on about feats of speed when you have no clue what space time is or what it is capable of and you go on to say what has minato done with it other then use it for speed ? Apparently you blacked out during the time minato took on tobi and defended the village against kurama.Pleawe stop talking about stuff you know next to nothing about.

Minato's base speed is pretty high I'd assume, I'd also say it would be higher than or equal to Lee's or Guy's base speed.
