Lion fist was powerful enough to shatter Pein's metal rods That was filler. Her Lion Fists didn't even connect with Pain or his chakra rods., any insect caught in it would be fried. They would be, and yet seeing as a whole swarm of them will be after Hinata only fist-fuls shall perish compared to the unharmed ones feasting on Hinata's chakra from other parts of her body. And if the Hyuuga are capable of one, single, thing, it's moving their hands quickly Aburame are excellent at surrounding an area with bugs. She can't move her hands quick enough against a swarm and unlike Neji has no Rotation, Blow Body or speed to aid her.. In close range, she'd stomp. Close-range she gives Shino the easy win, reasons mentioned that a moment before. At long range, she has one VERY effective defense at the very least, and at mid range she has Hakke Kushou Which focuses on a specific target rather than a general area, whereas Shino's insects focus on the entire field. She Hakke Kushou's the bugs in front they get her from the sides. Simply. and can perform the stronger version in conjunction with Neji. Presumably she can use it on her own if she uses both hands. Not saying the battle is decisively in her favor, but, she DOES have the advantage. My apologies but Shino has the full advantage.

Well Sasori doubted she'd be able to survive the Third Kazekage's attacks, even WITH Chiyo's help. And those were on a FAR higher scale, in size and speed, to anything Shino has shown. If she stays at range she can evade. If she gets close she MAY be covered and drained, but she may ALSO land a hit on Shino. Which would be fatal.
Shino's speed is irrelevant, he'll keep his distance. His bugs will spread out and ensure Sakura's capture, she can't evade a swarm. Sakura also has to get close to even hit him and that would be a mistake.

Just because something is light doesn't mean it's immune to being torn to pieces. In fact, that makes it more likely. If Kiba is ever covered in insects he can use Getsuga to get to safety. Eliminating scent AND evading Kiba's and Akamaru's sight at the same time (one without the other is useless) is easier said than done. Also, Giant Two-Headed Wolf tech could simply destroy the entire environment, and Shino with it. Strategy not necessary.
It was an estimation on my part. I just imagine the bugs getting a free wind ride, is all. If Kiba was covered in insects they start draining chakra immediately, a look at Kankuro suggests it takes several seconds to take effect. Either Kiba isn't escaping or if he Getsuuga's his freedom it be ensured he'd be visibly weakened of chakra. Shino had to deal with Karasu while trying to find Kankuro at the same time. He was out in the open most of the time and did an excellent job. Add in his ability to come up with trump cards and I have little doubt he'll render the nose of Kiba and Akamaru useless. If Giant Wolf comes into play a strategy is highly necessary on Shino's part. But as they're blind while spinning in that form Akamaru will have to pee on Shino just to be certain they're aiming in his general area.

That's a bold statement. She has a TREMENDOUS arsenal available, and far superior physical abilities than Shino. There's doubtless something in her scroll which can repel the bugs. To a degree.
I'm sorry, what TREMENDOUS arsenal? Her far superior physical abilities means little when she ends up getting swarm for stupidly getting too close. Her best bet is a tag bomb weapon, the one she used on Kisame. But I can't remember the radius of the blast or whatever else. Shino has clones to trick her, Insect Globe to ensure easy capture and a tactic mind.

Oh, so those two techniques are enough for Shino to dominate Shikamaru?
The point of that statement was that Shikamaru does not, presumably know all of Shino's moves. But yes, I highly lean towards Insect Globe being a great counter to Shikamaru.\

Shika is smarter, more versatile and FAR more intelligent.

Being smarter and more versatile does not ensure a win. Shikamaru's a sitting duck if his far brilliant mind has no tools or comrades to deal with enemy's techniques. I doubt he can escape Insect Globe.

I agree with you up to Kankuro, since then Shino has done practically nothing since then except fail. In terms of canon fights he was useless against tobi, and then Konan nearly solo'd his entire clan......not such good feats.


No he doesn't. His intellect isn't as good as Shikamaru's but he is tactically better then Kiba. Kiba on the other hand has much stronger combat skills, since shino is useless in taijutsu, speed and strength (databook 3 stats).


The kunoichies are debatable, but for the most part I agree. Choji would wreck him with killer intent and butterfly mode. I would easily put Shika, Naruto, Lee above him, but the rest are debatable, although I would put him as the weakest of the boys.

Dude you realize EVERYONE was useless against Tobi at the time, Especially Naruto. Shino has Great Taijutsu skills, speed, and strength.

I'd say Choji would provide some difficulty with butterfly mode, ONLY some difficulty. Shino is NOT the weakest of the boys, Kiba is. What can Kiba really do, other than fang over fang? He's more like a sensor type, so KIBA is the weakest, NOT SHINO! NOT EVER SHINO! Get your facts right, hater!

In my opinion I think Shino Neji Shikamaru and Kiba are around the same level when it comes to battle, they each have their own advantages, Neji is strong and pretty smart but still sort of vain and cocky, Shikamaru can almost plan his way out of any situation but usually needs teammates to get his plans in motion, Kiba is my favorite of the group and has pretty brute strength and speed and the double team of Akamaru, he does seem to run out of steem pretty quickly though, and Shino has the very unique control of the insects, and uses them pretty well but if you find a way to get around the insects he doesn't have much else. Rock Lee, Naruto, and just barely Sakura would be ahead, but Rock Lee does of a die hard sensei, not to mention Sakura and tsunade.

The K11 all know of Shino's moves, so they'll watch out for them. His main advantage in battle is the fact that noone expects cockroaches to start swarming out of their opponent.

Tenten's weapon attacks are underrated. She knows about Shino's bugs and can avoid them, but how is Shino going to avoid all of Tenten's weapons at once ?

Hinata is a Hyuuga, and can emit chakra from all chakra holes. The bugs may feed on chakra, but it can still hurt them. A person could be killed by getting hit with a turkey. Even if you feed on it, it can still hurt you

Actually yeah, getting trapped by shino's bugs ends a fight instantly (unless you are naruto, obito, etc...) Not a single member of the 11 have anything to fend against it.

Shino's analytic abilities plus naturally deceptive strategies would take out most of K11 as they're all straightforward fighters. Aside from Shikamaru and Sai....
