It's a good theory but influence doesn't translate into dominance. Obito chose his path, yes Madara has manipulated him to the extreme but that is no excuse he is still guilty for his crimes. Nagato has been pardoned because he chose to do the right thing in the end, maybe that will happen to Obito, he seems reluctant to kill everyone but almost powerless to change his course, that may be the influence of the black rods. But like the old saying goes, "when you lie with dogs you get fleas" the black rods are Obito's fleas. Poor fool...
well said, and i agree with you. the way he has been speaking, its as if he wants to say no one has a choice and it's better to accept the courses laid before ones self. as if he didn't start out down the path he is on now, but he is powerless to change it so he has accepted it. just like everyone else say this and that are destiny, and then naruto and others just like him stand by making their own destiny.

I indeed do think Masada influenced obito. I find it very interesting how when they first introduced tobi before he became obito, and how tobi was clueless about how he was still alive and what was going on. Well how is it that when tobi was telling zetsu about rin and kakashi zetsu said that he spotted them both on the battlefield when he has no clue of what they look like? Also when tobi does show up at the scene why does kakashi not see him I think Madara use a illusion on kakashi tricking him in killing rin then his influence starts taking effect on tobi driving him mad and giving him a legit reason to do the things that he did. I also think Madara wanted kakashi to kill rin so that obito can obtain the mangekyo sharingan as well as apart of his plans. What do you guys think?

i was always wondering what these rods were for, this is a pretty legit theory.

And don't forget that when nagato had the rods implanted into his body, he went mad and started screaming and yelling like obito was, maybe there is a connection?

stop stealing people's theories jeeezzzz

Very interesting theory. But what does this say about Nagato's defection from the Akatsuki, that Naruto's TNJ> Madara's will?

I think the mist ninja done the genjutsu, but Madara had the Mitsukage under a genjustu and used him to send ninja to where Rin and Kakashi were
