[Spoilers] Kumogakure was destroyed?

The town we saw being destroyed wasn't Kumo, the infrastructure didn't match at all.

The bottom panel shows the location of the shinobi force. Kumogakure is located more to the center of the map, rather where the arrow further to the left is pointing is actually exactly the location of Kumogakure.

Look at the building's design in all the pages.
Mabui, Shikaku, Inoichi, Ao were there, in the Clould.
In Raikage's office.
Mabui and Shikaku were working together up to a certain time.
And now Shikaku & co. were wiped-out, so it was in Kumogakure.

I don't think the village shown earlier was the cloud village.
By the destruction of hq can we only assume that the cloud village is destroyed becoz of its sheer magnitude.

Doesn't she have a transporting jutsu? Maybe she was able to save a few people...

A nearly dead Raikage and crushed village, maybe the anime-only Hoshigakure will get their chance to shine. (Get the joke?)

Nope. That transporting jutsu was dangerous.
It was for inanimate objects.

Only 3rd Raikage, 4th Raikage and Tsunade survived it.

Well.... unfortunately this makes one more reason why Shikaku and Co. may have survived. I have a hard time envisioning Kishimoto just leveling the whole Cloud village

Well that building could be somewhere outside of Kumo, like that temple in the leaf village, it also had those markings..

Anyway, if the HQ and the alliance wasn't in the same location, you can be right, but I think they were though.

There panel showing a village before being destroyed was not the cloud, it was some random village. The shinobi HQ where Shikaku, Ao, Inoichi and the others were is exactly where the cloud village was, as it has always been. Check back through the chapters, they haven't changed locations.

The cloud village was in a canyon type area any way, which does not match the characteristics of the village that was destroyed. The wiki is correct.

Most likely the cloud village was evacuated any way, so only shinobi were in the village.

That's the thing, there is no chance any of them would survive that.

Tsunade had to use Sozo Saisei to get across and A, being the 3rd Raikage's son was able to get through too, anyone else would have died.

I was going to replay exactly that... then site error

I want to also add that the jutsu is probably not as dangerous as mentioned. ONLY the 3rd & 4th Raikage and Tsunade survived.... How many times have they tried this on people? Sounds like 3 survivors out of 3 to me! Perhaps only fodders are susceptible to the dangerous side effects
