Even if Shikaku didn't die, I'm hoping he did. He went out like a badass. Anybody who knows their gonna die and still does there job without a thought of hesitation is a badass to me. To put things in perspective, Jiraiya died relaying information that ended up saving Konoha, Shikaku died relaying information that will save the world.
