[Discussion] Who do you think should be the SH captain?

I know Luffy is the strongest of them all. However, his leadership skills are almost nil. Who do you think should actually be the captain of the Straw Hats. I personally think it should either be Robin or Zoro.

PS: I do not think Nami is good at handling crisis situations.

Luffy has great leadership skills. Notice how none of them have truly betrayed the crew. Luffy will now and forever be the captain of the Strawhats.

Luffy....while being an absolute moron st times his serious mode is nothing but pure confidence as well as him saying exactly what needs to be said to motivste the crew. As Ussop said last chapter that he has undying faith in them.

But after Luffy I'd agree with you Zoro or Robin

In the entire anime, there are several instances where Luffy doesnt know what a captain's role is and just decides on this without thinking. I dont think Luffy has leadership skills. Of course he wants to save everyone but he every one in SH crew would do that.

luffy, always luffy man. the fact he doesn't strike you as an ideal captains is what makes it perfect yeah he acts like an idiot but he knows when its time to be serious. so i could never picture anyone being the captain of the straw hats other then luffy seeing as he has the straw hat. and if all the crue is willing to believe and put there faith in luffy as a captain then why question it

but just for laughs i say sanji as it would be known as the heram pirates as he would have a crew of only women trolololol

Luffy. There is simply no one else as no matter who you think of, none of the other Strawhats could have ever succeeded in bringing all of them under one banner. For starters a captain needs strength, so by default pretty much everyone except Sanji, Zoro and slightly Robin, are not adequate to lead a team like the Strawhats, no matter how clever they might be.

Then neither Sanji or Robin really have the personalities to be a captain and Zoro would never serve under any of them. Then Zoro himself, well it has been hinted on multiple occasions that he could practically make his own crew and of all the other Strawhats he is the only one who has the 'charisma' for it or more precise that beastly aura he emits. However if Zoro had a crew, it would probably be one very differently from the Strawhats. Neither Sanji or Robin has an aura that attracts people.

So Luffy remains the only one who ever could have assembled that specific group of people. He might be a complete goof of, however he both has the strength and the charisma to create the Strawhats and none of the other Strawhats would have been able to do that.
