In the anime, the plot was completely predictible after Battle for Brew...but in the manga they continued with Stein's arrest...and from there everything was very intense till Baba Yaga arc...which is the best example. Mifune vs Black Star in the anime was boring xd But in the manga was really exciting and even touching! Not to mention kid fought mosquito and Maka defeated Arachne...in the manga every character has a useful role...unlike the anime.

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom. Well the main character is a guy, then he joins(he's forced to join) a mafia called ''Inferno'', but before that he was taught assassin skills. So this show doesn't include supoerpowers, but it's amazing anyways.

you do have a point to some degree though the anime did give us some extra knowledge on things such as the powers of excalibur.

And in the manga Ookubo made his symmetrical obsession somehow interesting in Savage arc (hahaha by implying he desires a perfect world, and that's why he's obsessed...also...hinting why he became so anxious to acnieve the perfection U_U).
That never was implied in the anime. I must insist, SE manga is much better xd

there are epic scenes and epic battles as well , its one of the best manga out there, check it out
