Of course it's possible to change yourself in both personality and body, but it always depends on the state you're in. People can also change a great deal when they experience wars or death of someone close.

I believe people can change, but they have to choose to change. If they don't want to change, then they won't. However, for them to change they have to realize that they want to change. They need to ask questions, questions that only they can answer.

I agree, you have to have the determination to change yourself in a drastic way, or else you would probably just quit halfway or before. Changing yourself with your help only might be really tough... people tend to change for the better more easily when friends and family help them.

You're right about that but some people don't have that.

Indeed, which makes it a lot harder for people to change. Oh, and people who don't have "that" aren't usually able to change.

It depends on if the person wants to change. You also didn't specify whether this change was for the good or not. It's easy for people to change for the worst if influenced by others. My dad always used to say that one bad apple spoils the bunch. Typically this doesn't work the other way around, you can't wipe a clean surface with a dirty rag and expect the rag to come away clean as well as the spot you touched; both will simply be dirty. However, someone can decide that they're tired of being the "bad guy" and change themselves from within, but this is a journey of self-purging and one must distance thenselves from any bad influences.

Once someone has started down such a recovery, they may pursue better people to associate with, but must be careful not to contaminate them and just let their good influence slowly seep in over time...it doesn't happen overnight and most of the changing is done by the person, not their friends.

People can change, but it's not simple. You can change what you believe in, based on evidence or other logistical knowledge, fairly easily. However, changing your personality, the way you naturally behold the world around you, takes more. You have to commit and go out of your way to change that. It is neither easy nor always a good thing to do.

Yeah, I personally believe people can, but that is something they would have to be willingly or want to do. Depends upon the person in terms of who they are and their values to the choices they make that can affect this. I myself have come along way and changed myself.
