Why in Naruto Manga Side Characters dont have last Name?

For example Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Deidara, Konan, Hidan, Kakuzu,Yahiko, Hanzo, Oonoki, Kabuto, Tenten ....They never had their last names revealed

Why Kishi??? Why Kishi???

Is Kishi Plaining on something big for them...Because most of them are not just any other side characters they are meaningful side characters...that have helped Naruto Manga to be what it is as of Now...

Actually they has, sometimes the character just said it once or twice, but it didnt implied anything serious throughout the plot, so thats why kishi didnt even bother.

Probably because he didn't see a point in revealing their last names. They are not exactly the real main characters, so they don't need a last name. Naruto's and Sasuke's last name had a significance for example but what could we do with the last name of Orochimaru?

That and he probably didn't want to come up with more names

I believe Salamander is just the thing that Hanzo summoning to, Hanzo "The" Salamander. I dunno whether Tenten's clan is fodder or Kakuzu's Fivehearts, where did u get it?

Well, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade are from Japanese lore, so they wont be having any last names. As for the rest, good question.

Kabuto's and Hanzo's name is stated in manga.

Tenten is a fodder, so she is Tenten Fodder xd
And Kakuzu has 5 hearts, so he is Kakuzu Fiveheart xd

Pretty sure the manga did state why Naruto isn't named Namikaze. It was to protect him from his father's enemies. If they had heard of another Namikaze in the village, one who was just a child, they would put the link together and could decide to attack Naruto as revenge for what his father did to his enemies.

well Kabuto is obvious, he doesn't know his own last name, since he doesn't even know his real name. He is just called Kabuto U_U


Konan and Yahiko probably don't know it either, I mean they are probably just people of a regular family like Nagato.
