What ever happen to the first Hokage how did he die

Just wondering how could an invincible shinobi die back then he was the strongest, but how could he die. Some say the wound from the battle from Madara but Madara said that he could heal him self and delay his death by years without even creating seals. I was also wonder there has to be a truth behind that fight with Madara vs 1st hokage. Imagine if it was a draw and Hashirama die without Madara knowing anything and thinking he lost. And when Hashirama die and Madara thought that he died because of age.

If Madara is being kept alive by using his DNA, how did Hashi die from old age? If Hashi's body heals instantly, then that means his cells constantly heal, meaning he can't age.(something I learned form x-men lol)

OT: Hashirama without a doubt beat Madara....afterwards Mitto and he took other tailed beasts to other countries to establish peace. Kurama was also sealed within Mitto afterwards. Kurama had to be restrained with Hashirama's Mokuton
