first off, i don't make threads often so this won't be flashy or anything like that. i'm not Dr. Proof or anything, just your regular manga/anime fan who enjoys the two dearly.
now, onto my theory. we all know that naruto's parents were killed due to obito/madara. we know that the uchiha massacre occurred due to obito/madara. we know that the akatsuki was expanded and employed by obito/madara. almost every important event throughout the series can be traced back to these two. and it all began with rin.
but what if it didn't begin with rin? hashirama, tobirama, and izuna are all dead. from that generation the only one to make it out was madara. he has gone MIA and has been collecting information and experimenting since then. the only other person/people that know as much as him is zetsu. obito knows everything madara wants him to know, but what of the information that he kept hidden?
my theory is that sasuke and orochimaru are going to talk to black zetzu/or the source of the zetsu. they will potentially learn that through the manipulation, rin may have been used as a catalyst like a spy and/or a fugitive( as most members have stated) to reign in obito and his potential to have the sharingan. zetsu could have possibly been there when naruto's parents were killed, when the massacre occurred, and even during izuna's death. if they learn what they have came for, sasuke and orochimaru will head to the battle front.
it is there that they will layout the information they have learned from zetsu. this will open up everything for obito. i feel like (because of the hype about both obito's eyes being together and the teamwork of kakashi and obito) both of obito's eyes will be used as some sort of finish move for madara. this would lead us to believe that madara can and will be defeated by kakashi and obito. this will turn out to be fake, as madara will defeat them both and potentially kill them.
this will leave naruto and sasuke to fight the juubi and madara. the only way i can see the juubi being defeated is by something we haven't seen such as.... an amaterasu tbb maybe? this would disable it, if not take it down. then it would be a two on one. after that, i don't really have much yet, i need more info for my assumption/theory lol maybe orochimaru will slip in at the perfect time and steal madara's body???? who knows. but i would like to know what you guys think.
