He is prone to physical attacks he is not necessarily weak against tajustu.His ems and rinnegan combined grant him the slight cognition ability to read movements and a wider ranges of vision which comes in handy against ninjustu and taijustu alike its that combined with that and his ability to absorb chakra based attacks its more likely to sustain injury on him with a physical attack rather then a chakra based one.

Y'all missing the point taijutsu is the only way to harm madara but even that is wrong because he has the sharigan which can predict movement and rinnegan that can repeal people away.
