Because Joker is the bad guy... I hated him even more in that one movie, they made him so very evil. xd

He choked people for slight slip ups and ordered the destruction of an entire planet, as well as killed his entire order almost single handedly. How much more evil can you get?

Hmmm...maybe if it seemed like he enjoyed that stuff a bit more? It was like he was just doing that stuff because he felt it was necessary. Like the Joker took pleasure in hurting people, so he's a far worse villain in that respect, it also means he'll do more stuff just for fun and take it even further.

But then we get into the debate on what makes a villain more evil; actions or motives? Personally, I don't think you can outweigh a genocidal, silent dark lord with a deranged serial killer. No matter how ill the intentions.

Touché, but what if you added a little of that same crazed atittude to Vader, just enough to carry the feeling that he was also a bit insane, wouldn't that make him better?...I mean worse? I mean...you know what I mean. xd

It's an unknown factor; at that point, we have the question of 'is he still used by the emperor? Is he still at the head of an army which already feared him?"PLOT N SHIT!!

But if we applied that same attitude, in short, I suppose he probably would still be a biiiiiit more evil.

Yeah, I see what you're saying...besides, it's hard to imagine something even slightly different. Once a story has been told one way and it's great, changing it usually doesn't go over so well. xd Of course, that hasn't stopped variations on King Arthur, Alice in Wonderland and other such things...

I am reminded of a South Park episode called "The Simpsons Already Did It". At the end of the episode it was determined that even if the Simpson hadn't done it yet, someone else has, which is something my brother and I had figured out a long time ago when we were trying to make a movie with Blender. The key is to do something that's original in its own way, even if it's similar to something else. Build on what has already been done and make it better, that way you can't fail. The only way to truly mess up is to try and do something that's completely original, in the attempt it turns into something really wierd that no one can relate to, so no one is interested.

I agree Villains are made to be hated, but, hated if they were real, some are just plain awesome.
