so when its actually madara's eye then why can't nagato turn his rinnegan in an sharingan??..

If he were given that eye in the rinnegan state I don't know whether he could change it back and forth because he did not evolve it personally. I may be wrong, but of he could, I am sure he would have used it. Or discovered it at some stage.

He was given it at Rinnegan stage so he can only go forwards, not backwards. But since Rinnegan is the final stage is stayed as that. That is what I believe anyway.

Madara awaken the Rinnegan then gave it to Nagato, since it wasn't his own eyes he couldn't deactivate them or switch. Cause he's not the natural heir of the Sharingan, he got the eyes transplanted when it was the Rinnegan not the Sharingan so he couldn't switch back

Yes but thats because KAKASHI evolved the MS himself after he already had his eye implanted.
