Deidara can win in one on one against many of the akatsuki's. Exceptions are pain, itachi, sasuke and obito.

He is a long range fighter that gives him advantage over others.

He definitely CAN win against those opponents, the question is if he's the favorable choice or not. C4 is deadly but it's not something he pulls out every fight, so that should be kept in mind. Depends on the particular opponent too.

Kakuzu has Raiton, which makes his bombs pretty much useless. Kakuzu's elemental attacks would also be hard to avoid for Deidara

It's also pretty likely that Sasori had some electrical attacks, since he was after all able to use all KKG's of his human puppets, but obviously that can't be proven though. Sasori is also immune to C4, seeing as he doesn't need to breathe. And Deidara even stated that Sasori was the stronger one out of the two.

In a one on one fight deidara does not have to hold back to use C4. Its a deadly jutsu, he wins mostly unwounded. But its not just C4, he has range of jutsus.

Considering a fresh fight wherein no one knows others ability. In such a case will kakuzu be able to make deduce that clay bombs are useless against raiton.? even then he wont be able to clay mines. even C4 as well.. still deidara has upper hand.

Just stating Sasori stronger does not mean so. Even Itachi stated Jiraiya was stronger than him.. but that was not the case.

Well what do you mean? Deidara stated himself that he hates using his better pieces of art because it degrades their value to him. He had full intentions of killing Sasuke all along but he only used C4 when he got truly pissed. I do know that Deidara has other things then C4, and I actually believe that some people underestimate his crafty intelligence too. When he decides to use C4, it's dangerous because it doesn't have to be that huge bomb he used. He can make human-sized C4 bombs too like he did against Sasuke.

Deidars vs Kakuzu is debateable, if it's without knowledge, Deidara could quite possibly take it.'

Sasori is immune to Deidara's C4, and has 298 human puppets he can summon to his aid. Deidara can't handle the power of that technique, no way

I said all of his jutsu are quite dangerous.
He stated that he hates using himself as a clay bomb(the way he exploded producing a great blast) many times. That was his ultimate piece of art and he doesnt want to use it several times. But he has other jutsus also to rely upon.

Deidara is an Earth Style, if I'm not mistaken. If not Earth, then Blast. Water wouldn't effect him.

OT: Deidara, I feel, could beat Itachi. He doesn't have Lightning, which is primarily why Sasuke won, and Manda.
