What would make you accept Obito as a "villain"?

This isn't a thread flaming anybody who does or doesn't like Obito's character. I just want to know how Obito could be "redeemed" for you guys. For those who like Obito as an antagonist, is there anything he could do that would increase that factor? I personally like Obito but that doesn't mean I can't think of epic ways to increase his reign!

For me, I would be satisfied if he killed Sakura and tested Naruto's ability to shoulder this pain. Obito is clearly seeing some connection between his younger self and Naruto, so in his mind Naruto only needs to feel the pain he did to "mature" enough to accept that reality is too cruel of a thing to live in.

Obito: When the Moon's Eye Plan is put into action, I'll let you see Sakura again.

Although; when I reread it, Obito's honesty and ignorance is what makes it reasonable.

Edit: If Obito killed a number of named reinforcements, than that would further make it acceptable.

I miss Tobi :/...anyways if he did more than just Kamui only to get hit anyways -.- use more stuff like the Rainbow of fire (rainbow was in the name lol)....Also if he actuallu doesn't pull a redemption I'll accept him. If he plans to destroy the world because the person who he loved (which was one sided) died he better stick to it, and not change....

But yeah....Mask and more jutsu. Maybee kill some ASF members....hopefully not the ones I like

I agree with this. I feel like Kishimoto's weakness is when it comes to females and their roles in his manga (I think he admitted this in the first few volumes of the series too). If Sakura's love hadn't been so one-sided, people would probably accept her more. Same case here... maybe give a short chapter/part of a chapter dedicated to Obito's connections with Rin.

That would actually be pretty good too. Reminds me of something Gantz would do... have the truth be something so horrible that the Moons Eye Plan looks like a gateway to heaven with no strings attached. It would also show Sasuke's maturity if he sees such a truth and is not as greatly affected by it. It would be Naruto's true test to see the truth and still keep on with his morals.

I really hope he goes for sakura and possibly kills her, that would test naruto's strength and willpower. Kurama might even help him through the trauma. That comment with obito saying he hasn't felt the pain of loss yet i feel is a perfect opening for kishi to start killing off some characters, possibly even more of the k11?

I don't know, I like Madara better IMO anyway so I don't care too much about what happens to Obito. He should probably die and before that accept the error of his ways right before his death. Who do you like better?

Madara can still be final villain, but this seems like Obito's personal fight between his previous ideals and his current "mature self" since he sees himself in Naruto. Madara should betray him and show Obito that his actions created a living hell, not an utopia.

I still do want Sakura to do some cool things in this battle xD but I would rather have the manga turn a bit darker through these actions
