Basicly I have come up with a rather stupid theory! But I will share it non the less! Well we know that the sage wanted the youngest of his sons to continue his work for world peace, which lead to a hatred between the 2 brothers. Well a 1-sided hatred. These 2 sons became the Uchiha and Senju, while the Youngest of them became the Senju and the oldest became the Uchiha.
Now if the Sage's wish comes true then Naruto will be the one to break the chain of hatred, but if he is wrong then Sasuke will be the one to do that. Sasuke in the latest chapters before he "disappeared" he seemed alot calmer and seemed like he just wanted to know everything so that he could decided what to do. So he revived Oro who would take Sasuke somewhere unknown so that Sasuke could get answers to all his questions.
My guess is that Sasuke will learn something from where ever he is going. From what he will be learning he will learn more about the Sage and his sons and the Ninja World that now exist. Meanwhile the Allied forces along with Naruto is fighting the 10-tails, Madara and Obito.
My theory builds on that the Allied Forces will lose this battle and almost only Naruto will stand left, when that happens Sasuke will show up on the battlefield and with the new knowledge that he has he will help Naruto for some reason, possibly his own. In the middle of the fight he will awaken the Rinnegan because either he sees everyone he has ever cared for die on the battlefield or he is simply destined to awaken it.
Madara, since he is a bragging idiot badass will comment on Sasuke getting the Rinnegan and such a young stage. Sasuke and Naruto will then take on Madara and the Juubi and possible Obito if he is still alive, they will fight with full power, and winning the battle. When they are both tiered and Sasuke is almost drained of chakra from the use of EMS and Rinnegan and Naruto only got some left.
Naruto will then give what remaining chakra he has against Kurama's will and give it Sasuke, who will use the revive jutsu of the Rinnegan to revive those who have fallen in the battle against Madara and Obito. Upon doing so Naruto and Sasukes chakra will be mixed and thus the last heir to the Sage's 2 sons will the connected and they will both be the reincarnation of the Rikodou Sennin.
