There are other side characters that get little screen time but are far more enjoyable to read - Temari, Rock Lee, Anko, Shino, to name just a few. Hinata gets more screen time than all of them, but does nothing other than stammer and faint; and focus obsessively on Naruto - she has no life goal other than him. Also no sense of humor!
As a woman myself, I prefer strong independent women characters, not wallflowers.

I suspect that Kishimoto will end up pairing her with Naruto, as this seems to be the direction since the Pain arc (where if it were a real life story, she would be seen as reckless an irresponsible), but I for one, am pretty disappointed with this turn of events.
If he does decide to go that route, I hope he will at least develop her personality more, and give her other goals and skills besides Naruto.

Just my opinion, I realize it goes against most of the fan base here...
What is wrong with focusing on Naruto? What is wrong with having just him as a life goal? What is wrong with her personality?

This is'nt even worth mentioning.

Then everytime a girl spoke to Naruto it would be a narurandomslut moment.

Stop overreacting, this has no significance to anything, she will likely just wither, wane and die during this fight.

Because focusing your entire life around another person, with no other purpose or interests, makes one a very limited and boring person, and could be suffocating for the person who is the object of that obsession. To compare, Naruto loves (or used to love?) Sakura, but she is not the only thing in his life. Sakura and Karin are both in love with Sasuke, but they still have other interests and they stand on their own.
It is possible (even likely) that Hinata will end up with Naruto, but she would have to show intelligence, backbone and initiative, to merit that relationship (and no, I don't count the suicidal behavior during the Pain arc in that category). Of course, Kishi may make that transformation believable - he did a pretty good job transforming the gentle kind Obito into the evil Tobi.

Oh come on. This is different. It wasn't like Kiba told Naruto to not act tough in front of Ino, Tenten, or random girl #56. He said it about Hinata. And Kishi felt a reason to write it. He didn't have to. He could of just had Kiba spout his usual nonsense. But instead he wanted to remind us of NaruHina.

And why knock Hinata when she was just useful? She just helped to SAVE Naruto! She isn't exactly withering away.

I don't even care who Naruto ends up with as long as Shika and Temari hook up. They are the only couple I really care about in Naruto. But at this point, it is pretty clear Kishi really likes teasing NaruHina. While he hasn't developed NaruSaku for ages. I am not saying that is right or wrong; I actually like NaruSaku.

Who honestly cares
Says the guy who posted in a thread about it.
