Sage mode Kurama?

We all saw kurama meditating and taking in energy but we don't know what kind of energy he is gathering.. it could be nature and it could be life energy. I would go out on a limb and say that he is gathering nature energy for naruto to use sage mode for a longer period of time.
Some of us agree that Sage Mode will have to play a bigger part in this battle and perhaps this will be the opening for the fusion of Beast mode and Sage mode.. Just a guess.
