My favorite anime show, but too bad some people didn't get the right idea of it. First you'd think that it's about winning or losing, but the plot actually concentrates in Light and his obsession with power. It's just like his father said ''Anyone with that kind of power can't ever find true happiness'', which Light realized when it was already too late, and in anime we can clearly see that he regretted picking up the notebook + the fact that he saw L's mirage just a moment before he died. Death Note is a masterpiece, even if the second half wasn't as interesting as the first one, the ending was perfect. the only series that I've given 10/10

It was one of my starter series getting into anime/manga might still be my top 5

His situation is not easily one where one can easily depict right from wrong.. although I think his father's last words were pretty nice

DeathNote Is A Very Interesting Series One In Which I Would Place In My Top 10 Fav Anime's Of All Time...Now The Questions Of Lights Actions Being Good Or Bad Can Be Debated Indefinetely But Ultimately Everyone will come up with his or own answer...In My perspective Light's Actions Were Righteous He was only trying to do good by eliminating the bad and evil in which he would've succeeded @ if L and His group had not interfered...All those 'good guys' that died, Did ȿδ because of their inability to comprehend the good Kira was trying Lemme give An Analogy by saying Its lyk shooting a criminal and a good guy jumps in the way to take the bullet...what the police did wasn't their best option...Humans Beings Have a Choice and as seen in The 2nd Part of Death Note The Majority Of them Even Believed Kira's Actions As Righteous Judgement..Even up to the point of Considering Him as 'God'...The Fact Is That It Was only Light Who could've taken up the task to rid the world of evil ironically in his quest to eliminate evil...he became 'evil' itself

The anime should have ended @ episode 26 *(I read the manga BTW) All series turn to shit when there is a time skip. Near, Mello, and the Ending sucked ass, but top 5 anime for me.

Part 2 was needed to complete the series, if it ended at episode 26 the show would have had a big hole in it.

Just finished watching this anime and it definitely was worth the watch. I feel like alot of this could have been avoided if Light took the deal for the Shinigami eyes that that way he could of beat N

About the artwork: I think the anime doesn't make it any justice :T_T: (my first "meet" with DN was few years ago with the anime aired in my country-which clearly didn't hook me up). I really love the coloring style used, cause it's more solid..with deep shades (ya could use that coloring as inspiration geeky ).

Now regarding the lines, I think they have a very nice style. Like they're really pleasant to the eye:

They're somehow soft and free (dunno if any ones gets this xd). But sharp when they need:

That deep shading helps a lot I like it, cause I work mainly with shading xd
About the plot: I already knew how was it going to be. A friend of mine told me major spoilers about the series. But still it was quite enjoyable. I liked the pace and the narration. The dialogues were natural but significative. Nothing was left at random. Ya can really see a well planed narration, worth of a book. I can get Light's feeling at perfection, which must've been something difficult to achieve since Light isn't like every body (He's a genius U_U).
That's it as for now xd

another thing I've been wondering is when Light's dad met Mello didn't he say his name outloud so that Light can hear it? or was that just in his head? Because if he did, couldn't Light have used that to kill Mello before he kidnapped that one girl

no, not yet, he also needs to see mello's face xd what light has is just a sketch from someone, but he needs a picture then if he hears the name, then he could have killed mello
