I think there's going to be one final arc that sets up the last battle between Naruto and Sasuke. That gives it at least a year and a half. Half a year to finish this war arc(more flashbacks will be comming) and then a year for the final arc.

Most of the plot holes have been closed so there isn't much left to cover. The only member of team 7 that has to be rounded out is Sakura since Kakashi, Naruto, and Sasuke have been covered. When Tsunade croaks we might see Sakura get her final push. Kishi hasn't thrown quality out the story just yet which makes extending this a smart choice.

Kishimoto will walk in the footsteps of the author he looks up to....Toriyama.

Naruto= Dragonball

Naruto Shippuden= Dragonball Z

Naruto GT= Dragonball GT

On a serious note, I do want to see Naruto raise his child to become a splendid shinobi.

That would be so stupid IMO. i mean in this battle you have all the tailed beasts, Naruto masters Kyuubi, tailed beast bombs galore, there is no battlefield and now the Juubi's been revived. What could they possibly do for another battle?

Sasuke vs Naruto? Orochimaru?

The story is not about how to defeat the most overpowered maniac, but how to effect a change in the Ninja world from hatred and revenge, towards mutual understanding and cooperation. Winning the war can only be a step in that direction, but if Orochimaru and Sasuke are still out there, full of hate, the story can't end. For it to be resolved satisfactorily, there has to be a final fight and then resolution between Naruto and Sasuke. You can't do that in 2-3 chapters, it would need a whole dedicated arc.

I kind of agree that we'll have at least 1 more arc after the war, if not 2 arcs. Ether that or the war will spand several arcs.

What's the obsession of Oro being like the master villain? Honestly I see him way behind so many characters that he gets lost in the big picture.
