[Discussion] Pulling the Plug.

Recently on the news I heard a story about a man who got into a car accident. The man is now brain dead. His family is devastated (of course) and now they have to make the decision to pull the plug or not. I believe that they have not made a decision yet.

My question is: would you want your family to pull the plug on you? Given the choice, would you pull the plug if your family member or close friend was in a vegetable-like state? U_U

I personally would want them to pull the plug. If I cant live my life in the proper state of mind I wouldn't want to live it. I wouldn't be able to pull the plug on a family member though. I would have to leave that up to someone else. <3

I would indeed euthanize any of my loved ones a vegetative state if they said this person will be like this for the rest of there lives. You never know that person could be trapped in a nightmare for the rest of there lives.

I'd pull the plug.
To some, life itself can be considered suffering. By pulling the plug on someone in a vegetable-like state, they don't have to endure being in a state where they cannot care for themselves.

I'd expect my family to pull the plug on me, rather than wasting years hoping I'll come back and ignoring the depressing truth that I'd probably stay in that state forever.
