Minato wasnt killed by any old 14 year old he was killed by an uchiha who had Senju dna and was trained by Madara uchiha. Remember that zetsu is made from hashirama's cells and Madara replaced obito missing side with a zetsu. also he had enough chakra to summon Kurama and can teleport parts of his body in to another dimension:: :ghehe: please dont flame me :pwease:

To protect his son he had too, it was either him or his son...he passed the will O' fire to Naruto.
His death is underrated

It was suicide. He didn't die accidentally. He knew Shiki Fuujin would kill him, but he used it anyway for the good of the village and for Naruto's future. He intentionally took his own life, so it was suicide.

Obito was obviously powerful even at that age. Obito wiping out a platoon of high-classed ninja, fodder or not, was simply Kishimoto's way of telling us readers how powerful he was (especially with his anger increasing his blood lust). It was not completely one-sided for either ninja - Minato knew of Obito's potential (see his quotes after and during the fight) while Minato held a great fight against him.

The guy weakened the Kyuubi's overall chakra with the Reaper Death Seal and then continued to seal the remaining 50% with a typical sealing technique that shouldn't have even been overly taxing. Belief in his son and pity for his wife and the village pushed him into this sacrifice.

Minato gave his life for the village. There were other options on the table, but he thought of the village first even when his wife offered to seal the 9 tails to keep him alive and raise their child. His death was one of the more nobel ones in the series.

Not when those "fodder" ninja were stated to be jounin and ANBU-level shinobi by those swirly guys. Those guys collected information for Madara, and that means they were jounin and ANBU-level by Madara's terms, which means that they weren't fodder at all.

Just supporting your point.
