What was the point in splitting the anime ?? Naruto & Naruto Shippuden

Why did they split Naruto into Naruto Shippuden after the timeskip?

- It makes people less likely to watch the original Naruto
- The Manga isn't split
- In One Piece it didn't split after the timeskip
- Same with Fairy Tail
- If it was one it would have been more efficient for the series
- Splitting it makes it feel like 2 stories instead of one

I'm glad One Piece didn't do it & it would have been alot smarter if Naruto didn't either..

Just because DBZ did it doesn't mean he should too, it actually works for DBZ but its stupid for Naruto

Maybe the producer and other staff of the Naruto changed, and the new staff wanted to change the name into Naruto Shippuden

Bleach didnt cut off after the timeskip either..but the anime ended anyways so i guess that doesn't matter

it's all for ratings, everyone wants something new.... so they slapped a new title on in and watched fan jump all over it lol

DB just did a better job at it with the transition to DBZ and GT wasn't bad but nothing like DBZ in terms of how much i enjoyed it

Are you that swagger kid? Back OT it actually isn't dumb. I mean think of it like this: You can watch all of DBZ and not ever watch DB and you won't have missed a single thing, so it's pretty much the same with Naruto. Since Shippuden shows tons of flashbacks people will be either:
1. Be Inclined to watch the original naruto
2. Or will be informed on everything that's happened regardless cause of all the flashbacks.

I guess Kishi thought it would be good to reintroduce the characters as older from 13-14 to 16-17... or he was just lazy and didn't feel like doing a time skip montage, seriously the time between N and NS could have been resolved in 6-8Ch each of Naruto and Sasuke with some 1-2pg cut backs to the leaf village and Akatsuki occasionally.
