Hiruzen favored Itachi and Danzo had the upmost respect for Itachi as his own Anbu Black Ops shinobi. If you are talking about this narutoverse and not an alternate, then yes. Hm, Madara attacked the village, Obito attacked the village, they were left with no options but to exterminate them and one of the last Uchihas plans to, whaddya know, attack the village.

(Not really related): That's how the world works sometimes (even though this is Naruto). People are discriminated based on mistakes someone else did in the past.

Sometimes, Hokage don't don't rush into battle to defend the village but defend it while sitting in the village... ex. Tsunade...

Hokage should be the BEST ninja in the village at that time... I m not saying that Itachi isn't worthy, if Itachi was there in Tsunade's coma arc...He definitely would have been elected....

1) The council isn't exactly trusting towards the Uchiha clan
2) Itachi wouldn't want to be Hokage most likely. He likes to defend the village from the shadows and as a Hokage, he would be put in the centre, which is something he doesn't like from what I can tell

Hmmm..Agree bro...but when u r taking Madara and Obito as example than u need to take Itachis example as well even though he was considered villian but he was the hero that protected Konoha till the time he was alive...during that time Naruto got all this power and jutsu...If Itachi hadn't done this Konoha would have been a history...

Yes...In reality this is what happens...But in naruto what we learn is dnt discriminate...give a chance to ppl they can and they will change if u give respect love and care to them...

Personally I feel that During his lifetime ITACHI only failed Onces....

When ITACHI was resurrected that's what he said before dieing AGAIN...IF I had trusted u If i hadnt considered u as a child... things would have been different....Thats the 1 thing Itachi thought he failed...

Itachi is definetly kage material .... brilliant tactician and can match most of the kages .....

but would the elders accept an uchiha as a hokage is highly doubtful ... atleast Danzo would have been against it and made political BS moves and talks to prevent it from happening

and IMO Itachi would have given up not wanting to stir up a fight among higher ups ... he would prefer to be in shadows to protect the village rather than be in the top and create controversies and also watching his back all the time from Danzo ...
