haha I don't even remember how FF8 ended! I finished it over 6 years ago and completely sped through it -_- I gotta replay it sometime. I don't mean to go off topic but did you ever read the "Squall is dead " theory? kinda creepy

Nah I haven't read it. I loved FF8 but the last several battles killed it for me. They could have done the battle sequences differently. Right now I'm playing FF tactics.....died like 10-25 times with the main character...

Jiraiya played the role of the mentor and guide for Naruto. His character was fully realized and there was nothing left to develop. Like Obi Wan or Gandalf his death was necessary so that the protagonist can develop and become fully realized through their own journey, but like those other two don't count Jiraiya out completely. He may return in some form or fashion.

& I dunno.. Jiraiya was pretty damn strong... Pain had a huge advantage though considering all his paths.

I'm like 1/10th the way through FF 13-2 . I've finished 7,8,10,10-2, 90%Done 12, 13 and now working my way through 13-2 very slowly but surely. I've actually never played FF Tactics, since it wasn't one of the main numbers.

I'll give it a read soon. I have not played any of the FF after #10. Gamer makers were going a different route for me. Kinda turned me into a Pc gamer after #10, lol.

Well, FF tactics is Ok. You're not missing anything if you don't play it.

Weak? LOL! Even pain admitted had Jiraiya known his secret, he may have been defeated. Pain acknowledged Jiraiya's strength and even Zetsu admitted the battle wasn't easily won because Pain's enemy was Jiraiya, one of the sannin.

Its hard to say where he would actually be in the war, but he would definitely be an asset. Personally, I think that he'd be chasing orochimaru and sasuke, figure out that scroll, end up being a thorn in their side, and we'd have a pretty good fight... Jiraiya vs ems sasuke and weakend orochimaru
