-A review on the shaman- Shaman King-Ana's arrival eps

Hahahaha After a while, I came back to keep writing these "review" threads about Shaman King.
Today's turn is for chapters 9, 10 and 11. I don't they can be labeled as an arc, but certainly they're not part Pyron's arc..so I put them together in this thread.

Chapter 9: Shaman King
Summary: In this chapter is finally explained what a Shaman King is. It may sound dumb, cause we can assume it's the greatest shaman because of the king tittle, but the explanation Takei gives is actually interesting:

The fact that he presets human-kind as part of nature's cycle corresponds with the buddhist beliefs of reincarnation[If you're a Shaman King fan as I am, you will know that Takei has fair knowledges on buddhist in which he inspires to write his stories (in Butsu Zone-his previous manga that got cancelled for having a heavy amount of buddhist concepts xd, he demonstrates it; actually Butsu Zone's plot may be considered as a sketch of SK's) . This explain why Yoh is so lay off, since calmness is actually one of the six perfections in buddhist]. However Takei presents the cycle idea with a modern view on it (ecologist if ya want)- Yohmei says that when humans modify the environment to build cities, the air and the ground change, which leds to unexpected consequences like floods and less air clean-.
So Takei present the Shaman King as a leader for humans, since our ignorance is great and dangerous. But if a shaman is a human too...why would a shaman be a better guide than us? The answer Takei gives is "the king of spirits" an entity that hold all the knowledge and power available on Earth. This is idea is very interesting, because it's the absolute source of knowledge and power, basically the shaman that can join with will be a GOD!

Chapter 10: A fashionable shaman
Summary: In this chapter Anna states her intentions of making Yoh the Shaman King thorough her special training so her word can be absolute xd (she's just playing tough, she's actually just worried about him). Also, it's revealed that the Shaman tournament will start in Tokyo to chose the new Shaman King.

Chapter 11:Shaman Life
Summary: This chapter let us know that Anna will be around more in the series, the sequels of Yoh's training and that Ren's is still there, burning in anger -so that promises a revenge-.
Oh! I almost forgot: there's the explanation about why the Shaman King is decided by fighting: really simple- A person's real skills and personality are shown in extreme conditions.
Comment: This is for the fans: Don't ya think Yoh's comment about Anna being a demon and coming from hell are cruel? I mean, they met in Ozorezan, and considering what happened there...or he forgot that too? xd
If he forgot, that'd be pretty stupid, considering the bear claws necklance are suppose to a gif from Matamune...
Oh-well: That is the only inconsistence I have found on Shaman King...

Yep, tho I prefer Ryu's common sense to Manta's. Manta is a bit hysterical, not to mention too pessimist. Ryu is such a nice guy, cool and even philosophical sometimes...^^
