Every character has a purpose except fodders

I'm going to take four of the most hated characters on NB (my opinion) and explain.

PS: Not necessarily in this order.

1. Sakura - People hate her because all she does is depend on Naruto. Chase after a guy who made you unconscious and the next time he tried to kill you. Also she cries alot. She's also the weakest among Team 7. Sakura has had her developments in the series but her last "Badass" screen time (non-filler) is when she recognized that white zetsu transformed into Neji and punch him really hard.
The reason why Sakura is there is because almost every series needs a Damsel in Distress. I think that's why Kishi didn't give her so many power-ups.

2. Kakashi - People hate him because he spams kamui even though he's not an Uchiha and he doesn't show his variety of jutsu throughout the war. People also hate him because he trigged the hate inside one of the most lovable and respectable characters in the series, Obito, to a menacing, "Good Boy" Tobi.
The reason why Kakashi is there is to show how Sasuke would have been if he was good. Kakashi is also there as Naruto's mentor someone who Naruto looks up even though there's his Dad, Iruka, Jiraiya and Yamato.

3. Sasuke - People hate him because he's obsessed with revenge and cries. Sasuke was like "I have no dream but I do have an ambition. It's to kill a certain man." When he found out it wasn't Itachi's fault, he's like "I'M GONNA CRUSH KONOHA!". Also he cries from time to time. People also hate him because he rapes Karin's chakra then kills her like it's nothing.
The reason why Sasuke is there is to be the one/only person who doesn't fall for Naruto's talk-no-jutsu. Also Kishi wanted to add flavour to the series.

4. Obito/Tobi - People hate him mainly because of the whole reason he turn evil and waged war because Kakashi killed a girl he loved. Most of you are like "WTF?!, he should have danced Gangnam Style when Kakashi killed her , laugh and say "' Haha! Idiot Kakashi killed you. That's what you get for Friend-Zoning me."'
At first I thought Sasuke and Gaara were like Naruto's opposites but I strongly believe that Kishi meant for Obito to be Naruto's Alter Ego.


Also those of you who hate characters like Madara and Minato because of their fanboys, take the hate on the fanboys not the characters.


Conclusion

I know all of you have your opinion I respect that but some of you take the hate too far. This is just to show you that Every character has a purpose except fodders.

I think a big reason people hate Sakura is because she seems so irrelevant all the time. You're right Kishi hasn't given her very much development but that's exactly why she seems irrelevant. If he had her develope more she wouldn't be seen as just a motivational character between sasuke and naruto. I personally love Sakura and think she already has great attributes.

To me shes obviously the better taijutsu threat in her team and the smartest one too still. Her medical specialties make her an extremely valuable asset to her team if she ever reunites with naruto and sasuke. Especially if she gets that yin seal shit Tsunade gets on her forehead. But she's not getting opportunity to shine at all other than her fight with Chiyo against sasori.

I can't fathom a reasonable explanation why secondary characters like rock lee jiraya minato and others are getting more developement and cool moments than the third most important character in the series.

I'm one of the people who is under the opinion that sakuras unlikabiliy is Kishis own fault. He could and should easily fix this.

Kakashi. yea i tried and i dont get why people dont like him. he is one of the most likable secondary characters ever to me. he is incredibly accomplished and successful ninja that he is considered to be elected hokage. He looks cool, he does cool shit, he's developed like hell, he has multiple shining moments, he's super well balanced... the only thing i can think of is that he is to perfect. but for a secondary character to have that rep says a lot about the balance of characters in the series so i even forgive that.

Sasuke. ok so he has done some messed up stuff. but his developement has been stellar as both an antagonist and a protagonist. i think people hate him is for exactly the right reason. he's the rival, the badguy, the villain... the whole reason for the hero to exist. perfect job all around for sasuke cause even as a villain he is getting a huge fan base. i dont see the joker or lex luther with that kind of fanbase. all around great character. does his job well.

tobi for the same reasons as sasuke. but i can get the hate more cause i know readers really wanted it to be madaras little bro to be under the mask. still he does the job and he does the job well. and being that i was one of the people who was convinced that it was madaras little bro i have to admitt he fills the spot admirably.
