So we know the story of the SO6P, on his death bed he had to choose a successor, and he thought that the younger son would lead to peace.(Love) The elder son thought he deserved and thus came jealousy and hate, and so on and so on.

Now, if the SO6P were to have chosen the elder son, what do you think would have happened?

I believe, though not 100% inclined to this result, that hate never would have been born. The younger son believed in love, so I think that he would love elder son & the SO6P regardless of the fact that the SO6P chose his brother over him.

IMO Elder son would've tried to control everything, something like the Moons Eye plan, he was too ambitious, he wanted power and more power.

well no hate would have still been there since he wanted to rule by power... meaning if he wanted he would make himself god and stuff end up making everyone not from his bloodline and stuff suffer...if he got angry for him not getting to be the successor then he will most prob likely get angry for other things

But the decision he made was for a reason.. If he truly believed that the he would have had no problem selecting the older son... Just speculating but maybe the leadership role would have been too much for him... It takes alot to be great successor especially one of the sage.. Naruto loves Sasuke but because of circumstances and Sasuke's own feelings,interpretations and decisions as an individual.. No matter how much Naruto and Sakura showed their care for him.. He still left and hasn't been back since... As time goes by people can change.. Oro wasn't always like the way he is now.. I think the younger son had more of a resolve that couldn't be swayed and true empathy for others.. like Naruto has now.. But that's just a small speculation on my part...

Both of you are right I think, he would have been a brutal leader ( maybe/ maybe not)

And the Sage was the creator of all things, so I think he would have known who to pick. But who knows
