Knowing that Minato was Naruto's father.

I didn't follow the manga from the start, I think I came fairly late. So can you guys inform me what the consensus was back then? Did most Naruto fans already have theories back then about who Naruto's father was (or that Minato was his father).

It started since the first episode, already. It was actually pretty obvious Minato was his dad. Only figuring out who his mom was took a while until Kishi came with hints

Most fans made that conclusion very early on. It was pretty obvious during the entire series that Minato was Naruto's father but it was never confirmed until Jiraiya & Tsunade's conversation right before he took off to confront pain. And then during the Pain vs. Naruto fight Minato appeared in Naruto's mind and told Naruto. And Kushina showed up as well and told Naruto she is is mom when he was trying to control the Kyuubi.

If you just discovered this you missed 3/4 of the series you came in very late!

kinda funny how a lot of you predicted Minato was Naruto's dad yet a lot of people are pissed over Obito being Tobi yet Tobi being Obito was the first prediction everyone had before more was revealed about him...This just tells you that Kishi goes with the most obvious character because it's more logical/ will impact the story more.

came with hints? as far as i know the first time kushina came into the picture they immediately showed she was naruto's mother..
