Why would Tobirama create Edo Tensei in the first place?

I don't get all the things i heard about Tobiama where good things like how he sacrificed his life to save his comrades or how he had the Will of Fire and risk everything for his Village and it's people, but why would such a man create such an evil Jutsu that would disrespect the dead? don't start flaming me when i say this, but Tobirama is such an evil bastard in the inside there is more than meets the eye about this guy... truly

He's not evil at all. If someone walked up to you and offered you a chance to work on a way to bring back the dead, you would jump on it. He then probably realized it would take a human sacrifice and never even used it. That's why orochimaru was the one who perfected it.

Orochimaru once said that Jitsu are like colors, there are and infinite amount of shades to go with colors, just as there are an infinite amount of handseals to go with jitsu.

It could have been upon accident that he discovered it forming hand seals, which is a weak theory considering that you need the DNA of the deceased in order to work the technique (which is a very deliberate thing), but the only word we've seen used so far in association with the 2nd hokage and Edo Tensei was that it was "invented" so we pretty much have to assume it was made for a purpose (war). But it was made kinjitsu, so perhaps it was to be a last resort in case Tobirama couldn't hold his own without the 1st hokage.

Again I don't know anything, nor does anybody else, only speculating

maybe tobirama's version of edo tensei summoned the soul to a dead body but just for some hours or minutes so that the family of the fallen shinobi could say goodbye or so
but i think the living sacrifies is needed that the soul is bound to this body for eternity
