Kakashi there was nt a Zetsu clone as it cant imitate 1s tec. as we cn c his raikiri there. Nd Madara would nt also be so dumb to send a zetsu clone. Also as Kakashi asked if Obito was gonna blame him fr Obito's death means he was the real 1 there. Kakashi cn never do such a thng acc. to me. It might have been an accident or he was cntrold or was forced to do so. He definitely has a reason nd nt a trash.

my best guess is that Kakashi was probably under the genjutsu of Madara and that Madara purposely lured Obito to witness the event in hopes of him awakening the Mangekyou Sharingan, which he did!

He isn't trash, but I wouldn't be surprised if he felt that way. I have this feeling that Rin might have asked Kakashi to kill her. . following the theory that she had some secret ties with Kirigakure perhaps they figured out the enemy planned to use info from Rin to attack Konoha in some way. Not wanting to hurt her village she asked Kakashi to prevent them from getting the info the only way she knew how. I think it might be the reason he has emotional turmoil regarding Rin to begin with. Yeah so it probably kills him mentally to have to shoulder the burden of killing his teammate for the sake of the village.
