Quick EMS question

So to obtain EMS, are another set of eyes added to your own, or are the eyes transplanted? (Because if its the latter, then there are pretty stupid potholes).

You implant the eye to yourself. The closer the blood relationship the stronger the EMS.

The tighter the blood ties are between the "donor" and the receiver, the better it is for compatibility, siblings for example. The time from fusing the donor's Mangekyō with the receiver's Mangekyō to the point of full recovery is at least several days.

It is just a transplant, not a fusion between two sets of eyes.

The Mangekyo fuses but not the physical eyes.

u cant get ems unless ur transplant from a sibling. Its definitely family related.
Itachi told us many eyes were wasted in the uchiha trying to figure out how to get ems. They didn't know all the time that u had to transfer among family only.

They probably did not know, Madara took Izuna's eyes so he could see again, he didn't expect EMS to appear.

Another possible explanation is that since Madara's eyes went completely blind they were not be able to be used by Izuna.

I think that to be able to gain EMS you must first exhaust your own MS to the point of blindness, then you can transplant your sibling's eyes and upgrade to EMS
And there is no such thing as fusing eyes. It's a ridiculous misconception

Four mangekyos becomes two eternal mangekyos, other wise the manga would have a big plot hole in it.
