Kakashi is overrated and underrated. Many say he is Fodder many say he is number 1. both statements are false. Kakashi is very skilled and in my opinion he is a low kage level ninja.
There is much debate about Kakashi's Skill. Some say he is Kage level some say he is high jonin. My opinion on the matter is he IS kage level and heres my reasons why.
First lets define "Kage Level" It has no real definition but in my opinion it is ninjas who are deemed kage worthy. They are the some of the strongest ninja from their village. since kakashi's Kage level status is in question, we must compare him to other ninja who are accepted as kage level already. comparing kakashi to these ninja is a good way to see how he stacks up. These stats are provided by Kishimoto in reference to the manga. this information is relivant. ignoring this means your ignoring Data about the manga that kishimoto has provided.
Lets take a look at the data book stats of these kage level shinobi.
Orochimaru-35
Jiraiya-35.5
Itachi-35.5
Gaara-29
Tsunade 35
Hiruzen-34
Gai- 31.5
Sasori- 34.5
Deidara- 32
Kisame- 32.5
Why these are deemed kage level
Sanin and Hiruzen
Orochimaru, Jiraiya were Sanin and highly skilled. Recognized by all of konoha for their skills are more than kage worthy. Orochimaru also killed Hiruzen a hokage, no easy feat. and Hiruzen in that very fight managed to stop Edo 1st and 2nd. solidifying his rank as a kage level ninja.Tsunade later became a hokage after the death of hiruzen and her fighting against Madara has more than proved her kage level of skill
Akatsuki and Gaara/Gai
Itachi. an uchiha strong enough to kill most of his clans members[obito also killed some so he was not alone] and after shishui's death became the strongest uchiha in konoha. Uchihas were already deemed the strongest clan of konoha. being the strongest of the strongest clan is more than enough to be kage level..Gaara is infact a kage and was defeated by another kage level ninja by the name of deidara. Sasori was also a Kage level shinobi. How do i know? well he killed his kage and turned him into a puppet. Nuff said. He is infact a beast..Kisame is undeniably Kage level with his bijuu level chakra and Gai being the one who defeated is to me is also kage level shinobi.
Now that we have talked about known kage level shinobi lets talk about kakashi
Kakashi-34.5
Now with a 34.5 we can all agree that he is a powerful ninja. With stats that rival kage level ninja its hard to dispute that he is in fact not a kage level shinobi. So why do so many say he is not kage level? In my opinion its these two things.
-His lack of chakra
-His lack of a technique capable of wide spread massive damage.
These are the 2 main reasons why I believe kakashi is overlooked as kage ranked. These are two big weakness of kakashi. Its not that kakashi has low chakra, its that his sharingan takes more chakra to use than usual being that he is not an uchiha. with constant sharingan usage it seems his chakra levels are low. actually they are average, he just uses more than normal shinobi. Though it does not change the fact his chakra is questionable. But overall kakashi is infact a low kage level shinobi. Genjutsu skills high. Ninjutsu skills high. he is infact a skilled ninja. the thing that seperates himself from the rest of the jonin is in my opinion is intellect. with his mind he really does not need an overpowered jutsu. Though kamui is powerful, it wont be as useful until he fully masters it. With further mastery of Kamui he will unarguably be kage level. In my most humble opinion he is kage material. The only people capable of defeating kakashi is other Kage level shinobi. Kakashi is not losing to any high jonin tier fighter. only those kage level and above. This is my opinion on the matter. what do you think about it?
