Kakashi was getting dominated because he was still thinking about how Obito is still alive and why he joined Madara. The chapter served as a pivot to say that Kakashi is finally getting over it, and he will start to fight like he means it. That said, I can't see how he really has the chakra or stamina to keep fighting at this pace, but I love every second of it.
