What time line does Naruto exist in? I'm aware it is a fictional timeline; there are a lot of creations that create flaws. For instance in the first arc there was a shop with an owner who had a shotgun on the table. Who created that gun and why isn't it mass produced? Is that shop owner really just a shop owner if he got his hands on a one of a kind weapon?

Next is electricity, T.Vs and radios exist in this world. If radios exist why do people use birds and scrolls? Isn't that illogical, its like crawling when you can run a 3 mile marathon.

What other weird inventions have you noticed and try to explain why they exist. Make a story out of it if you can.

They have computers as well and all kinds of high tech hospital equiment.
I think I saw a mobile phone in one of the ovas (although those dont really count as canon i guess).
One of the paths of pain uses mechanical attacks, like giant rocket missles lol and those are probably from the sage his time, since its a rinnegan path. As i understand the sage lived like 1000 years ago, and apparently rocket missles existed .

The naruto series is a bit of a mix between our time
and a more primitive time, where ''mail'' was done with messenger birds.
