Who's more intellegient Itachi/Kakashi/Minato?

What plans did both Kakashi and Minato have that was so sucessful?

You're right i'm not a huge Minato fan, but I think he makes a good avatar though. Minato's feats are limited but they were a success. Deciphering Obito's space time jutsu causing him to defeat Obito, then he planned it out so that Naruto would beat Obito in the future, he really covered all the bases in that fight by stopping the kyubi and Obito for later, although it was a gamble it was still a success.

Kakashi's shown a lot of succesful intelligent feats like when he used a bushin feint against 30% Itachi and simply outplayed him. Kakshi was able to thoroughly decipher Obito's space time ninjutsu, his stratergies against the edo tensei's in his division. His plans are usually successful.

Itachi is also smart but he gets things done through brute strength rather than his intelligence, eg sealing Orochimaru/Nagato and stopping Kabuto. His main feat of stopping chibaku tensei isn't as great intelligence feat as his fans make it out to be. It's obvious to try and destroy the ct core as you can't run away and don't want to be crushed, even a rampaging 6 tailed Naruto tried that. His whole Sasuke plan was a flop and he even admits he's a failure.

Add sasori, hiruzen, orochumaru, kabuto and madara too the mix! They are just as smart and has shown to be, and there hype far exceeds some of theres aswell!...

This, the three mentioned haven't really shown a great deal of intelligence, rather fast analysis so some instances. There are others who actually shown real intelligence in a variety on methods, those particularly mentioned above.

Minato and Itachi both had incredible insight and at least planned for a few things to go wrong in their ultimate plan. They both put some form of back-up into their plans (Itachi entrusting Naruto with Sasukes defection, using the crow to cast KA to "Protect Konoha") and Minato (storing a bit of chakra in case Kurama went awry). The only differences is that Minato achieved his desired outcome whereas Itachi didn't. The one area he failed to do is why I believe Minato goes on top. I also believe that under pressure, they both do a good job at identifying weaknesses in attack. Itachi with Chibaku Tensei, and Minato determining a way to land an attack on Obito.

And Kakashi is intelligent, but he hasn't had any long term plans. His analysis is on par with both. Battle tactics-wise, I believe they both still outclass him, but barely. It is possible he could analyze more about them than them him with how close they are together, but ultimately, still loses.

Minato's plan to save the world by sealing the Kyuubi into Naruto to fight Obito is still a work in progress, but is progressing.

Itachi's plan to have Sasuke be an honor to the Uchiha clan yet save Konoha actually ended in Sasuke being an international criminal (while the Uchiha were the police force?) and ended up endangering Konoha for the time being.

I may be wrong, but I though Minato plan was to protect Konoha from Obito. But didnt he fail consider it got destroyed?

There is no one better than Kakashi at analyzing. His feats also confirm that:
1. He cracked Obito's greatest defense.
2. He outsmarted Obito twice.
3. He outsmarted Itachi.
4. He saw through Itachi's lie (his reason of retreating in Part I)

I'm not sure about Minato, but Kakashi>Itachi in terms of intelligence.
Minato's intelligence mainly comes from putting Kyuubi in Naruto to oppose Obito later, leaving his chakra inside him to seal Kyuubi again, etc. Battle-wise I'm not sure we've seen much from him.

Well, we should split the general "intelligence" into "planning" and "battle intelligence".

In case of battle intelligence, it goes to Kakashi, as I said and Minato should not be qualified here, since we have seen too little.

Although I'm not sure if Kakashi should be qualified, we might say that his wish to keep Sasuke in Konoha and use Chidori as a blade to protect friends is a plan. In that case, he failed. U_U
Itachi, on the other hand also failed, because he hoped Sasuke would have become a hero, while he became a criminal.

What plans did both Kakashi and Minato have that was so sucessful?

Minato was able to take out the person that is running a mock in the manga atm in a matter of about 1 minute. He stopped the 9 tails from destroying the village ... He successfully put the 9 tail naruto's body because he knew that one day he would have to fight tobi and defeat him which is what's happening atm. He's shown great feat's of Intelligence by Creating most of his arsenal, such as Rasengan which he created after analyzing the TTB, which he seen once. Death reaper seal which is an incredible jutsu, also another jutsu that has yet to be beaten on speed FTG.

He was able to see that Kakashi's lightning blade wasn't right after seeing it for 1 second. He was able to take out a squad of around 50 guy's.. He was hokage, he managed to stop the cloud village from taking the 9 tail's. He took A & Bee several time's are one each every time.


Kakashi was able to beat itachi at the start of part 2... He's managed to help destroy tobi's mask and id him. He was able to take out diedara's arms and save Garaa. He was able to get the information about nagato's abilities to everyone, by helping fat boy get away. He was able to help and destroy Hidan and Kakuzu. He helped naruto survive in the current's chapters by helping him destroy the tailed beasts.

He also lead a team of the Allied shinobi forces, helped them fight and piratically done most of the work in killing the 7 sword men, he used his intelligence to help naruto learn rasenshuriken in a few week's which would usually take year's.

What did Itachi do exactly ? He followed the akatsuki after getting "ORDERED" by danzo. he got help from Tobi to destroy his clan. he then got sasuke to hate him? Who wouldn't, Then after that he gave the person who hates the leaf village the most new power's a mean don't get me wrong but that sounds a little stupid?

What else did he do? Oh yeah he stopped edo Tensei with another person abilities. it was just luck for him that he was the only person that was able to break free. I don't understand why he's praised so much he's done nothing that impresses me.

He was actually able to save all the people and if it wasn't for him sealing the 9 tails away then Tobi's plan would have been complete withing a year of him taken it from the leaf. It was only because it was inside naruto that he was unable to get it.

He saved the world that day.

This intelligence feats shouldn't be judged on planning feat alone because there are many things wrong with this.
First of all though both minato and itachi are genius one was 13 when he formatted his plan whilst the other though we dont know the age when he died, he was significantly older than itachi when he came up with his plan. To put it simple, life experience is what minato had over itachi when he planned naruto's life. Itachi at 21 has gained enough life experience to note that what he did as a kid was wrong. Asuma who isnt hailed as a genius wouldve formatted a better plan than 13 year old itachi because he isnt naive, though not a genius like itachi, he has life experience.

Secondly when itachi has been put in a tight corner by danzo, there was hardly anything to work with. Dying by sasuke's hards at that time seemed the most logical thing for itachi to plan.

Thirdly having a fortune teller help you with your plan always help, something that alot of people seem to forget. Minato's whole plan was based on something that jiraiya told him, and jiraiya got this info by the great toad sage himself.

^^ That is something people forget. Sure minato showed great intelligence in knowing that he might not be the 'savour' that jiraiya thought he was, but rather he took a gamble, yes that is what it was a gamble into believing that its not him, but rather his son is the savour that jiraiya was talking about and not him, thats when he then proceeded with his actions into sealing the fox's chakra into naruto. You simply cannot ignore the fact that minato had a massive tip off from jiraiya when he came up with his plan Whether Minato wouldve still went on with his actions without knowing the info jiraiya gave him is very unlikely because all his actions were heavily based on this piece of info he got

To simply base this on planning feats is too vague. Anyway these type of threads are always subjective and opinionated. There is no right or wrong answer
