ive never thought of sakura as useless character even in part 1 yeah she wasnt as active as sasuke and naruto but she has been a sort of drive for naruto and sasuke like in the destruction of konoha arc naruto did do most of it to save sakura as well as the village
sakura has her own useies in the manga and she has proven her self but know one will listen until she has an op tech
and hopefully with all this stuff with tsunade kishi might actually focus a bit on sakura if tsunade does die as it would make a lot of sence to do so

There is no such thing as plot no jutsu there is only plot. What happens happens and does reflect characters, you can't say that sakura couldn't do anything because of kishi, we have to accept it that sakura was useless and got in the way but then later realised her role is not to do anything it is to believe in them.. in silence
