Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino Vs. Lee, Neji, and Ten Ten

Back during the chuunin exams this would be a terrible match up, as it would be the worst team up against the best. But Team Asuma has come a long way since then, and do not underestimate there team work.

Location: Open Field
Intent: To Kill
Restrictions: Lee can only open Gates as a last resort, so no blitzing.

I think BM Choji plays a big part in this fight. The only one i can see standing up to him is gated Lee.

But anyways who wins?

If lee goes gates early before shikamaru can think of anything and tries to blitz him, then team guy could win this with mid-high difficulty.

Lol just read these panels where Ino-Shika-Cho trio were scared when Neji showed up during the Chunin Exams survival round in the forest.

Also Neji is a jounin and no one from Ino-Shika-Cho is jounin. Rock Lee is also more powerful than Neji in a way or at the very least they are equals but Neji is better since he doesn't have to use forbidden jutsu to become jounin level power wise.

Team Gai stomps low-mid difficulty. As you said BM Choji is the ONLY threat and I believe Neji or Rock Lee could probably beat him high difficulty. The two other members get beaten pretty easily.

Well yeah thats why i mentioned how Team Asuma used to be the weakest team out of K11 back in the chuunin exams.

Shikamaru is way to strategic to be underestimated hear. The only one i would say isn't vulnerable to his shadow posession is Lee, because of his speed, but its still possible that he gets caught because he isn't exactly the brightest of people.
Anyways, BM Choji and Shikamaru are a formidable duo for Lee and Neji. As Choji would require a lot of attention to bring down, which brings in a lot of openings for Shikamaru.

Ino and Ten Ten are pretty irrelevant here lol, I guess i should of just made this a Choji & Shikamaru Vs. Lee & Neji thread .

This is true but currently, I'd say that feat goes to team Kurenai although both Team Asuma and Team Kurenai are evenly matched for the most part. Team Gai used to have a massive lead but they didn't get many feats in Shippuden so naturally the power gap isn't that big. I think I may have underestimated team Asuma because I didn't really look much into their portrayal in Shippuden.
Shikamaru is way to strategic to be underestimated hear. The only one i would say isn't vulnerable to his shadow posession is Lee, because of his speed, but its still possible that he gets caught because he isn't exactly the brightest of people.
True Lee could dodge the shadows easily but so did all of Shikamaru's opponents but they all eventually get caught due to a mistake on their part. I'm sure the same could happen to Lee unless he goes gates. Neji is pretty smart himself and can avoid Shikamaru's traps but then again, Shikamaru was able to outsmart Temari in the end after a long drawn out battle, the same could happen here except the Byakugan's field of vision would give Neji a lot more insight compared to others. Still Shikamaru may use Neji's blind spot weakness to trap him.
Anyways, BM Choji and Shikamaru are a formidable duo for Lee and Neji. As Choji would require a lot of attention to bring down, which brings in a lot of openings for Shikamaru.
I'd say Choji is perfectly fit in taking Neji down but I'm not sure if he can take Rock Lee down. Rock Lee is very fast and strong himself so he can dodge Choji's attacks. The thing is I don't know if Choji is durable enough to withstand Rock Lee's taijutsu long enough for Lee to get worn down. If he can than I guess he wins. Shikamaru may be smart but I think he is outclassed here although he could put up a good fight since getting close to Shikamaru, which Lee and Neji will have to do, is deadly.
Ino and Ten Ten are pretty irrelevant here lol, I guess i should of just made this a Choji & Shikamaru Vs. Lee & Neji thread .
True it would also balance the match more because Tenten does have a significant edge over Ino especially with her Banana fan. With that powerful fan, she may also be able to take Shikamaru and Choji down which is why it should be restricted. Even without the fan, I think Team Gai should win with mid-high difficulty.

Now that i think of it, Rock Lee is really the deciding factor here. Gated, he wrecks Ino-Shicka-Cho. In BM, Choji is really just one huge target. Lee with his incredible strength and speed should be able to blind Choji by literally punching his eyeballs in, and land a few blows on his throat, fatally injure his lungs, making Choji incapable of seeing and breathing. Then Lee proceeds to stomp Shikamaru and Ino.

Well Ino is only of use if Shikamaru captures someone with his shadow possesion. But it doesn't matter, Gated Lee can most likely solo.

Restrict Lee's gates, then i'd say Team Asuma.

I'm not sure about Lee soloing but he alone could push them to high difficulty. He also has stamina issues so if he overuses the gates, his speed will decrease allowing Shikamaru to possess him. Choji could tank some hits before collapsing. With Tenten's or Neji's help, I agree Team Gai wins. If gates are restricted, it could go either way high difficulty, Lee is still fast even without gates and Choji is a huge target for Tenten's banana fan or weapons barrage.
