Could Orochimaru use his body transfer with an Edo?

Basically, could he edo someone with a Kekkai Genkai, then soul transfer to gain that Kekkai Genkai?

I always thought this how he does edo tensi he sacrifices a soul to bring the deceased soul bac so tech the edo tensi do have souls so why couldn't he take the body and just be immortal though those means -_- he most likely knew the release to it as well

It seems fishy then again madara type mad about being reborn this way so maybe edo tensi has some defects or something :/

I feel that by removing the edo's soul and placing it in his own consciousness, he would release the edo tensie in the process.

Oro's transfer jutsu has a major weakness. About 2 and a half years after switching bodies, the new one will begin to reject him. Since his soul can't just be pushed out, the body ends up destroying itself as a means of getting rid of Oro, creating that decaying effect. In an Edo, while the decay would heal, his soul would still die since it was rejected.

The body of an Edo actually isn't its own. Its just a dead body of some other Shinobi which serves as a host for the soul which gets bound to the world. By changing the body, Orochimaru displaces the soul of his new host and when this is the case, all Orochimaru will possess is the corpse of the Shinobi which served as a host for the Edos soul. Gaining the Edos abilities with this kind of body transfer is impossible.
