Ahhh, that makes so much sense. Itachi himself is simply going through a traumatic nightmare AT killing his whole clan. So Sauske is like the physical embodiment of his innocence, since Itachi can't see those things in himself anymore. Without prep time and man power itachis intelligence is a joke,and ability wise i can name a few people who could solo him, and the only reason hes never lost a fight is because hes never actually fought someone or something that was truly powerful at least not by himself, or else he would have been exposed..
